BMW Forged Copies of wheels - Forza Performance Group

Hello everyone! I've been corresponding with "Forza Performance Group" to buy forged copies of 1000M the last few weeks. Below are basic Q&A I had with their support for sizing, colors, etc. You can get any wheel design, BMW or not made.

DISCLAIMER
I'm not affiliated in any way, shape, or form with the supplier. I'm not receiving any "special" discount for organizing this. I'm not responsible for any payment issues, deliveries, etc. Quick Google search will will yield various social media presence including Bimmerpost forums and pictures of customer products received.

Who is Forza Performance Group?
I have never worked with them before, I found them through Google searching. Their website seems polished and they're based in China. They offer various performance parts for many manufacturers. Wheels, exhausts, carbon fiber parts, etc.

How to contact Forza Performance Group
Amir has been amazing to work with. He is based overseas so there's a bit of a delay in correspondence. Feel free to point him to this thread as a reference.

What's the quality and weight of each wheel?
Wheels are 100% forged, weight differs depending on wheel size but they range between (22lbs to 26lbs). Material is Aluminum 6061-6T and CNC milled forged wheels from forged blanks.

What comes with the wheel order?
Center caps is the only included item. You get your option between standard or 50th anniversary for BMW or any other design you have in mind.

What colors are offered?
Your standard color pallet, they're not 100% exact BMW color codes but they're very close. Black, standard hyper silver, frozen gold etc.

What sizes are offered?
Any diameter/width, bolt pattern, center bore and offset. Fitment is your liability.

How is payment handled?
30% is due on order and the rest prior to shipping after you validate their proof once manufactured. Payments accepted are bank wire or PayPal (+4.4% fee). You can also use your credit card leveraging PayPal.

How is shipping handled?
Shipping by air (7-14 Days) is $930 + your wheel order. By sea it's $530 (25 days) + 3-5 days via UPS for the last leg. Please note that center caps or any other stickers with car branding is shipped separately and typically arrive a lot sooner than the wheels.

What is the production time?
25 days production + 7 days for special color finishes + Shipping time.

What do they cost?
Sizing and color will impact pricing. Shipping weight will also impact shipping charges. Below are some examples I have already inquired about.
Examples:
Model: 1000M
Size: 20x9.5/21x10.5" (exact copies of factory)
Price: 2,150 + 400 (frozen gold) + 530 shipping (sea) = 3,080 USD

Model: 1000M
Size: 19x9.5/20x10.5" (exact copies of factory 930M)
Price: 2,060 + 400 (frozen gold) + 520 shipping (sea) = 2,980 USD
Can you provide some pictures of both wheels?
1000M: https://forzaaa.com/products/963m-fr...el-set-for-bmw

930M: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/37vrv2zpn...DVRv7yD0a?dl=0
Update 25APR2024 Shipping Thoughts, Initial Quality, and weight of wheels
Received 4x UPS numbers from Forza once they were shipped by sea (California port). Obviously UPS tracking wasn't available until they cleared customs and UPS picked up. From there it was 4-5 days to get to my door.

Packaging is absolutely excellent. Robust cardboard with support beams, bags, styrofoam, and more bags to protect them. Very happy compared to many other vendors I've used in the past, regardless if it was oversea shipping or domestic to the US.

In my case, the were BMW copies so any insignia of BMW was covered in very hard aluminum black tape. Easily removable along with some Goo Gone for the residual sticky stuff.

The weight of the 1000M are certainly lighter than OEM. See below for pictures. Since I ordered 19/20 vs. 20/21 diameter, I expected them a bit lighter but not by this much! 19" came in at 22lbs and 4oz, 20" came in at 24lbs and 12oz.

The quality of the paint and match to the bronze gold is just stunning! Kudos to their paint department. Pictures don't do justice of the finish.

The 930 is essentially a cast version of the lighter 825M. So just buy the 825M if you want the same look in a lighter version.

What we should question is whether these wheels are quality. What is their load rating? Do we know?

Then we'd factor in the math, let's work it:

These wheels cost $3,080 per set delivered to your home with slow shipping.

The factory BMW wheel package costs $5,836 delivered to your dealer. We are normally able to get parts, including wheel packages, with 10% discount (I just did).
So, say, they cost $5,836 - $583 = $5,252.4

$5,252.4 - $3,080 = $2,172.4 difference.

Tires cost $1,778 per set.

$2,172.4 - $1,778 = $394.4 difference

TPMS cost $98.16 each = $392.64

$394.4 - $392.64 = $1.76 difference

Mounting and balancing costs $24 per tire at Tire Rack = $96

$1.76 - $96 = -$94.24

So, if you're buying the same stock wheels as a replica, to buy tires and TPMS separately, and have them mounted and balanced, you are paying almost ~$100 more than the Genuine pieces.

It might be worth it for people who are ordering custom wheels, but for stock-like wheels, does it make sense?

Some valid points here regarding quality. There bronze gold 1000M are a lot more than 5,800 though, we need to compare apples to apples. Also your link for 5,800 is with Yoko vs PS4's. I think the cheapest I found them was around 6,400 and that's with Yoko not PS4's.

By my calculations, the savings are more like 1k to 1.5k depending on the group discount. Again, I think this is an option for a specific color/wheel combo and not for everyone. If someone is looking for a black 1000M with yoko's, it doesn't make sense to sign up here of course.

This could be an option for some! Thanks.

Also, I didn’t search for tires to find the Yokohamas, I’m not sure they’d be cheaper given they’re star spec.
I just used tire rack for easiness and tire rack ONLY has this option for tires, no other ones at all, so it was hard to compare prices.
I believe the PS4's are marginally more expensive. I haven't been able to find a wheel package of 1000M with PS4's stateside in bronze gold, this is what prompted my search. I priced out the wheels separately and the cheapest I could find was 4k without shipping from one of the online bmw dealers. This included shopping around in bmw dealers with 10% discount.

A classic example of “penny wise, dollar foolish”.
What could possibly go wrong?
No thank you.

If we're being honest, that is a lot of money on questionable wheels from China shipped via boat. How do you even know these wheels aren't cast? Take a look at their refund policy, it says to email kzbodykits@gmail.com.
Sorry man, there are so many red flags with this one it's not even funny.
Why not get wheels from a trusted place where you absolutely know you're getting quality forged wheels, like Apex Racing? My gold VS-5RS on Black Friday were $3,000. If you're looking to save money and have to have wheels, HRE has Flow Formed options and there are other trusted fully forged wheels from vendors that don't cost an arm and a leg, hell just get the real deal wheels.

You have valid points, as mentioned earlier, this is an option for specific scenarios. If someone wants forged OEM wheels with a specific color and dimensions, you have to go the custom route which Apex or similar do not offer.

For me personally, I love the style of 1000M but don't want a 20/21 setup. I want a 19/20 setup. With that in mind, I will transfer my PS4's and TPMS from OEM setup and be done with it. Assuming I get something fair back from selling my OEM rims, I'm at about 1.5k to 2k out of pocket for a set.

P.S All Apex wheels are made in China.

I get it, you like the design and there's nothing wrong with that. I too think they look great. However, I think there are better options for the price you're looking at that don't require taking a leap of faith with your money.
Look at the HRE FF28: https://www.hrewheels.com/wheels/hre-flowform/ff28
You can even choose colors and offsets to match what you're looking for.
If you're looking at a genuine set, get them off of someone in the for sale section: https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...ighlight=1000m
and put your OE tires on from the rears to the fronts and just buy a set of rear tires.
All i'm saying is that there's options out there.

Yeah, no. I'm not buying wheels from a shady chinese website on a $75,000 car. Lol.

Appreciate the feedback everyone. I didn't create the thread to convince anyone of their doubts. Do your own research and if you're comfortable, great. As mentioned in the original post, a quick Google search will address some of the concerns.

My order is in. Went the PayPal route with a +4.4% free. With Chinese new year in February, expecting wheels around late March, early April. I'll keep everyone posted on my journey for those curious.

Alright everyone! After a couple of delays because of Chinese New Year and paint color matching, they're finally on a boat somewhere lol

They should be arriving over the next week or so. UPS tracking numbers (4 in total) have been updated and awaiting packages from customs. Below are the proof pictures used for me to confirm visual quality.

I'll take better pictures on delivery and get them on a scale before getting them mounted.

P.S Out of all this planning, I should have modified the offset to avoid using spacers. So mad at myself and it was too late to alter order when I thought about it. Learn from me!

That's cheap! Just found another US site for 2k "bimmer euro". A lot more places have replicas now compared to 2 months ago.

Stunning! Let me know what you think about quality, fit etc. I just paid a deposit to Forza. 19x9.5 and 20x10.5. What ET did you go with? They recommend an ET10. I went with the frozen gold and think those best match the factory "Gold Bronze" - is that right? Thanks!

Maining allow me to give them the spec i want. So I gave them a specification from a certain "ax" technical post.

I went with OEM specs for everything width, diameter, offset. I'm a bit upset with myself because I could of had adjusted the offset to avoid spacers. We'll see how it looks.

Delivery by ship took 24 days to Cali and they use UPS for the last leg. All in, about 55 days from order. I'm getting mine Wednesday and installing Friday. I'll post pics from packaging and their weight wed/Thu.
