Help me tune my B58!

I'm looking to tune my B58 for my G42, however, I have no idea where to start and what tunes work the best for my model. I want aggressive burbles, please help!

actual tuning requires the dme to be unlocked, currently you have to send the ecu to femto plenty of shops offer a service to do that for you and have the ecu unlocked. After you can tune the car.

To add, depending on what your intentions are (Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3/E85), you will need to add various upgrades/parts including but not limited to exhaust, high flow downpipe, heat exchanger, oil cooler, trans cooler, colder plugs, intake (with piping larger than oem) or drop in filter (like a BMC). If going E85, its a whole different story (fuel line, fuel rail, injectors, fuel pump, etc to do it right).

Its not cheap to do it right...and if done cheap/cut corners, you will run a greater chance of a problem occurring.

To get aggressive burbles, you need a flash tune which requires a DME unlock.

Another simpler way to do it is to get a JB4 and high downpipes. The higher flow downpipe results in making the existing burble sound louder.

Yep...£80-£100.

My JB+ came with a a slightly broken clip, hence the cost.

It is perfectly solid and connects well enough but I use a hidden cable tie just to be sure.

No problems with it.

I think it helps that the car was not wrapped in cotton wool for the running in period (quite the opposite in fact)

Also, we live at only 100 feet or so above sea level which helps, along with 99 octane petrol.

But that is it.

I went 11.7 bone stock, had the exhaust done two months later - going back to the track next Sunday to see how much of a improvement it made.
