Max torque for a stock clutch G87

So my ECU is across the pond getting unlocked right now. I was curious if anyone has tuned a manual G87's and left in the stock clutch. My tuner is thinking the stock clutch can reasonable take up to around 550 WTQ and not have a significant impact on its life expectancy. I know BMW says it is fairly maxed out at around 400 but the new 2025 look like they are getting a small boost or at least an updated torque figures. Making me think that number might be conservative even by manufacture standards.

Most people generally agree the manual clutch in all 3 G8x cars can't reasonably handle more than 500 ft-lb. The car, stock, produces about 406 to the wheels. Proceed with caution.

Not sure what upgrades were made to the 3.0 CSL clutch, but since that puts out significantly more power, I’d look at replicating that setup for handling the torque if you’re (I’m assuming) bumping HP to a similar level as that car.

Same max torque, only difference is it happens all the way to redline. It's a simple software tune.

Appreciate that. Looking at the M4 forums it sounds like new clutches are exciting to.

I don’t see many instances of failed clutches on tuned G8X cars posted anywhere but it’s good to know that some aftermarket clutches available for those who want to push limits.

Wagner offers a replacement clutch for the G8X that can hold 808 fltq. from what i gather I do think that these clutches seem to be ok up until around 550 to 600 but imo that would be pushing it. here is the link the the wagner one i was looking at. IM not sure how much of a pain it is to drop the trans in these.

note that this is a single mass flywheel so there is going to be some vibrations and possible chatter and it seems from what i can tell should provide a smooth shift like OEM on the streets
