Any recommendation of valve controller for M2?

I have been considering of purchasing a valve controller for my M2. Installing midpipe definitely increased some exhaust sounds, but I felt like it was not loud enough. Looking at SST, IRL or Dahler, do these valve controller have same purpose of opening up the valve? It seems like many people are going for Dahler, but the price is almost double as SST one. Any recommendation would be appreciated!

If you want it louder all the time, just disable them

SST has been the most popular option since it was introduced.

Highly recommend it

Look into the Awron Smart CANFlap Exhasut Valve Controller. Fully integrated with the vehicle's CAN network and flash upgradable by USB as new features are introduced.

No remotes to fumble around with, all control is performed via OEM exhaust control button. User can define custom profiles for valve opening/closing, or just simply turn on/off. We have an ongoing thread here in the G80/G82 forum

I am very interested in this setup… just have to convince the wife that it is imperative that I get this and a midpipe.

I feel that. I’ve been trying very hard to justify the cost of a mid-pipe. They are crazy $ for what they are IMO. But, I do want one

SST is a lot easier to install , Dinan requires more work

I am a big fan of the Dahler controller, and just installed one myself. The DIY video will be up in a few weeks, but it literally is a 30min install, and very easy.

bm3 valve control mimicks the stock control, when it says open, it means 70% open.

With the valve controller, you can force it at 100% open for a louder sound.

We love the Awron for seamless operation, no extra fobs just the OE button doing what you wished it did from factory.

Can confirm SST is easy to install and works perfectly with no issues so far. I programmed open/close to my rear view mirror buttons. Oddly, I've been liking the sound profile of comfort mode + fully open valves.
