Windshield Wiper Recommendations??

My M240i is about 7 months old with 5k miles and the factory windshield wipers are not dealing well with the upstate NY winter. They skip, make noise, stream, and leave blind spots where snow and water simply aren’t removed from the windshield.

Anybody change theirs out - particularly in colder states and have good luck with a specific brand?

Anybody have a similar experience with their factory wipers? I had an X5 before this and had zero issues for nearly 2 years.

Thanks

Not sure there is aftermarket ones available yet but buckle in, they are around 65GBP = 85USD.

I have this problem too, skipping and juttering. I think it’s just the fault of the ceramic coating I have applied. But I guess it could also just be the wipers…

I had the skipping problem awhile back on another vehicle after I applied Rain X to the windshield.

Had the same issue. Took the car to the dealer and they replaced the blades. That didn’t fix it and their response was, “ there’s no service bulletin for it.”
I read somewhere about clay barring the glass. clay bar the windshield and so far it’s fix my issue.
Also read that the wiper arm spring may be stuck and could use a little wd-40. No experience with that but something to consider.

Thanks for this. I’m going to clay then polish my windshield to remove the coating and any other contaminants that might be causing the skipping.

Going to try Glaco Sof99 coating next, after I confirm the issue is resolved

Slightly off-topic but does anyone know where to get washer fluid? I like the quality of the stuff that came with the vehicle but I don't want to buy wiper fluid from the dealer

I've never had a dealership not fill it up for free if I go.

Good to know! Though surely I will run out of fluid before I actually have another reason to go to the dealer... I hope
