I myself will go with this design, seems very similar to the others of course.

Why on earth would it need mesh? Other than the above described height issue, that design is more than sufficient. Nothing, except maybe a solid piece of metal (which is not an option as the cooler needs the airflow) will protect the cooler 100% guaranteed. |

Have to agree here, how much more protection is possible. That thing has tiny holes. If this is that much a worry then maybe sell your M2, you can’t keep it in bubble wrap.

People are adding mesh to Mishimoto are they idiots too???? Large holes and it hangs down. Thats not optimal.

I didn't call you an idiot. No, I dont feel adding the mesh is necessary (nor does my builder) in addition to the Mishi skid plate. The holes in the Mishi plate are not large. With the design it will be difficult (not impossible) for a rock/debris to bounce up at the extreme/exact angle (the "debris" is not bouncing up and down in a stationary manner...think about the angle of the debris based on the car moving) to get thru the holes to cause catastrophic damage. I will also add that adding additional thickness of a screen, on either side of the plate, could cause clearance issues especially for those on lowering springs or HAS. Not telling you or anyone else not to add mesh to any of the plates. Just giving my opinion that I don't feel its necessary. |

I only wished all these suppliers provided a better (more solid) mounting solution than using the plastic mounting points from the factory. I went with the Mishimoto but the mounting to plastic concerns me. And the Mishimoto is lighter than the Turner's already.

One more thing to note, Mishimoto ships out of like Delaware, for free, and is like $100 cheaper. Here you're paying from, what I'm guessing is overseas shipping? Well, I went to the website and it has FedEx Priority shipping for the skid plate at $44 GBP, i'm guessing these are made in the good ol' US of A then? I don't really see the value proposition here unless they have these in stock and Mishimoto is months out and for some reason you really need this ASAP.
