What add on arent worth it?

I'm trying to price out m240i and im getting qoute of $69,364. Pretty much everything minus cruise assistant. Thinking about removing the ZTK package because its kind of breaking the bank.

Can I negotiate government fee, proc/doc fees out? I'm not paying for Nitrofill.....

msrp- $62,270
Governmnet fee-$422.72
proc/doc fee- $799.00
nitrofil- $253.00
Total Taxes- $5619.83
Amount Financed- $69.364.55

It would help to see the options you’ve chosen.

Drive recorder and parking adds are probably in your choices and I’d ditch them before Ztk.

Disagree. Parking package adds 360 cameras and the ability to remotely view your cars surroundings from the app. Well worth the price especially considering resale… plus drive recorder doubles as a 360 dashcam…again… well worth the price

HUD. I hate it. Wireless charging is useless. Xdrive you don’t need if you live in warmer climate, same for heated seats and heated steering wheel. Don’t need the more advanced crusie control. Don’t need leather seats.

I like the ZTK as it gives the car a more aggressive stance, plus you get summer tires and bigger brakes.

You’re already spending $69K, don’t drop ZTK at the cost of ~$2K, you will regret it.

Is that MSRP price these days for a fully loaded car?

For that much, might as well upgrade and get the G87.

It would be the G80 over G87 for me, but yeah $70K for a 240 doesn’t make sense.

But it's an uglier car with a worse 0-60 and 1/4 mile. Also, less options are available from a comfort level.

Dont know what these is.

Ditch the nitrofil.

HUD sucks (although good fo resale) but if I recall when I got mine, something came with it that is worthy.

You want the 360 camera but skip the oarking assist option (you can park the car yourself, correct?).

Definitely get the ZTK non run flats.

Where is the ($995) destination charge?

1. MSRP - You want $1,000. off MSRP
2. I don't know what government fee is, please explain:
3. proc/doc fee - This is pure profit for the dealer, they have to do paperwork on every car they sell. I don't pay this. They will typically tell you that "we can't take that off". Then you tell them ok, then take it off the price of the car.
4. nitro fil - Say to them, "$253.00 for nitrofil, so I assume that blinker fluid refills and muffler bearing replacements are free?"
Pure profit for the dealer again, atmospheric air contains 78% nitrogen.
5. Don't know if you are paying cash, finance or lease. If you are financing, make sure they don't screw you on the reserve (yield spread). Be prepared for the finance manager to try to sell you "stuff".

With a lease they can mark up typically 1 point.
You can get the money factor from BMW Financial or other sources.

Have your oil changed around 2k miles, to get the sparkly bits out of the engine after breakin, about 150 dollars. My advisor who I have known for over 20 years said, smart move if you are going to keep the car.

The ZTK package is a really good deal, Pilot Sport 4S tires, 245 tires in the front instead of 225. I drove both, turn ins are much sharper on the 245's. You receive larger brakes, so a bigger wheel to accommodate the caliper. Oil cooler, which is by the way in the typical M car location. A transmission cooler, and you will have 3 radiators for engine cooling. If you buy this type of car, why not get the ZTK, it will keep your engine and trans fluids at the proper operating temps while driving spirited. My oil temp runs around 226 deg, when I really drive hard for quite a while, it only goes to 232 deg max. I live in Arizona.

My opinion is if you don't get the ZTK, you are a granny driver.

A friend of mine was going to order the same car from a different store, was told nobody orders the ZTK package. My Friend has been in the car sales business for over 40 years (Mercedes, BMW Jaguar, Porsche), he drove both car setups. After the drives he told the salesman, "you are an idiot" If you know how to drive then a ZTK is a big plus. Not my words, his.

The camera package, $700, well worth it, makes it real easy to park the car. It's very hard to see the front right corner of the car due to the power dome. Not only do you see all around the car but you also get a top down view, so you can see the curbs, how close you are to the curb when you back in or drive in and your door swings. This option is a bargain.

I did not get the Cruise control package because I really don't drive the freeways much. If you do, well worth it.
I also did not get the drive recorder or remote start (you can purchase both, it's on your MY BMW App if you wish, after you have your car.)

I did not get the wireless phone charger, the charger gets hot from people I have talked to. I have a OnePlus Android phone, it last for two days before charging again.

I was close 64K out the door with tax.
License will be what ever state you are in, of course.
I optioned everything else and very happy.

I have both...the G87 will dog it, the sport seats are better than what is available in the M240 and suspension is way better (especially with port installed HAS)...and its not uglier at all (yes, that is subjective).

Could never get the pig nose beaver face on the G80/82...I specced a G80 Comp while waiting on my G87...I hit $97k and wasnt done building so I gave up (especially with that grille).

Now I have dumped a shitload into my G87 but its in the neighborhood of 650whp/550wtq (hasn't been on the dyno yet but those #s are based on what DME provided).

I wasn’t a fan of the G80/G82 at first but it grew on me. I can’t do the G87 with the front end and don’t see it improving with time, aside from that it’s a great bang for the buck. Maybe they’ll adjust it with the LCi.

The pricing is stupid for the G80, I’ll likely pickup an off-lease when I feel it’s time to let go of the G42…I still love it so it won’t be any time soon.

The G80 is by far the better of the two and if you install the CS cf grille, its a little better.

I can park a car so don’t need any assistance. Had surround cameras before and they are not detailed enough to to see curbs to save Mrs P from curbing alloys. That said the front cams were handy for seeing out of side streets.
Don’t need to see surroundings aromd the car. Our cars have windows and I also have Google street view

Better quality dashcams available than the drive recorder and the latter doesn’t do parking mode.

TBH, you’ll regret deleting the ZTK pack and everything else is loose change.
If $2400 is breaking the bank on the buy, then you’re buying a car you can’t really afford.

totally disagree with this... he lives in NJ it looks like, and not everyone lives somewhere that they can literally drive over 140MPH. MANY people have no intention of tracking the car, and do not have roads where they can go over 130MPH. not everyone has the same intention with this car, and for someone like myself (and many others) the option is a waste of money. conversely, it's a great spec for other folks
