I'm frozen to the ground

I'm officially frozen to the ground. I'm definitely not leaving the house in the M2.

Yeah, my 1907 house in a downtown historic district doesn't have a garage, or the room to build a garage. This is my best life.

When there are icicles it is still quite "warm". It's when everywhere is white with no icicles and your car stays clean when driven on the snow covered roads (as there is no melt water), when you know it is really getting cold

We don't consider it cold here until you can throw a pan of hot water into the air and it instantly turns into ice crystals before hitting the ground https://globalnews.ca/news/4951828/b...hallenge-burn/

We've been experiencing frost quakes here with the recent cold spell. Many Tesla's abandon at supercharging stations with dead batteries that won't hold a charge.

Ohh the irony of having an ICE car instead of an EV.

PHEV is the way to go if you want to electrify. The 2025 550e will be an amazing car when it's released.

Wow, thats crazy! Assuming a car cover wont work, because then it would just freeze or stick to the car? I grew up in Maui and lived in Cali most of my life so im ignorant when it comes to things freezing haha.
Can it effect the paint if you had to remove the icicle's manually, im assuming its best to just let it melt off, but that wouldnt work if the weather is freezing throughout the day right

I have full PPF on my car, so I'm not worried about damage to the paint. Im not removing any of the ice manually because I don't want to damage the PPF.

Basically though, I'm just not going to drive the car when it freezes. Oregon has very mild winter's and this only happened for a few days out of the year. It will be back to normal tomorrow.
