BM3 Stage 2 G87 Dyno

Got tuned this week. I was unsure if it would be worth it with having to tune down a little for the manual. Was definitely worth it.
BM3 Stage 2, added downpipes and a midpipe running 91
551 WHP
549 WTQ
Thing absolutely flies now.

Damn those are some solid numbers for 91! Great curve on that dyno.

impressive numbers!! More interesting since its tuned manual!! I am assuming this level of power is still okay with manual transmission?

I’m curious as well. OP, did you upgrade the clutch?

Clutch is still stock. I spent a fair amount of time talking to my tuner about it. They felt the clutch wouldn't see a drastic decrease in life expectancy so long as we kept it under 550 WTQ.

I put a couple hundred miles on it this weekend and it doesn't appear to mind the increase so far. Time will tell though.

Nice gains for minimal mods! That’s one of the main reasons I bought this car. Perfect power for the street, probably maintain reasonable traction and give the clutch the best chance at longevity. I would be ok with upgrading the clutch at some point too. I had to buy a manual.

Enjoy it!

Nice! Are there noticeable improvements in low end torque? Have a manual on order and am wondering if tuning will give you that kick to the chest acceleration feeling.

There is no difference in the first 3,000 RPM's or so which is really nice from a drivability stand point. If your pushing past 3700 or so it kicks you back solidly all the way to redline.

No idea. The tuner did tuner things. It was a Boot Mod 3 tune of some kind that they modified I think. I don't know a ton about that side of things though.

I would not worry about clutch with S2. I ran srage 2 for about 2 years and put around 15K miles on F87C. Zero issues. Also if it does fail it’s a cheap fix to replace a clutch.
