What thoughts do you want? They're R compound tires meant for track use. Are you planning on tracking your car multiple times per year? If not, just use PS4S.

Not for the street. The new Z06/Z07 comes with them and owners almost immediately swap out for PS4S. And even if they're tracking, they have a set of track wheels/tires.

Cup2s are fine for street so long as it isn't wet and once you get to 40 F they drop off quickly in traction. Warm dry summer days they are fantastic, when it gets wet they can break traction on you where you might not expect it, and even though you can run them down to freezing they rapidly drop off traction around 40 degrees.
PS4S is 95% the tire performance-wise and much more forgiving in water and cold. You aren't going to notice the couple tenths in getting to work sooner on the Cup2s than the PS4S (PS4S also much quieter)....I found the PS4S dropped off in traction between 27-30 F If you are taking your car to AutoX or the Track in warmer months and don't want to be swapping wheels then Cup2s are fabulous. So are PS4S. If you have a backup car to take in pouring rain or the occasional cold morning in Michigan then Cup2s also OK...there are days I'd leave my car with cup2s home because of this.

Yeah I don’t daily the m2 and no need to drive in the rain or when it is cold. Usually don’t take the car out unless it’s 40+. Which is why I am thinking of going with Sport Cup 2 Connect when I get some wheels. I wanted to see if anybody is actually using them because it seems the only talk was with people who daily the m2.

Not familiar with them (the connects). I think Michelin is playing with their compounds and/or marketing again. For me personally in new England I will never have Cup2s on a daily driver again, and there are better track tires for that use. Last car I had Cup2s on was a 2018 and they were just Cup2, no connect, no R.

On my F80 I had the PSS and PS4S, and the PS4S was just better than the PSS. For these 'new' Cup2s I'm not sure if they are playing with a more aggressive track-oriented tread design for the R's or if it's a compound thing between the R and the connect (or both). I haven't read about them. STi is a grip monster, one of my favorite cars of all time! Hold onto it if you can.

Ran *Cup 2 Connects on my F80, wouldn't run them again. There are much better street tires and much better track tires that will cost you less.

However they are in a class of tire that tries to do the street + track thing but doesn’t do either as good as dedicated street and dedicated track tires. They are quite rough and loud for street driving and they heat cycle out quite quickly on track, so you are constantly compromising with them - you never really get the best of all worlds. For street use, there are a plethora of options including PS4S, ECS02s, v601s, etc. that will have more than enough grip for spirited street driving and will not be as finicky or compromise on ride. On the flip side on track, a set of Hankook RS4s have the same pace but last much longer and are much cheaper. Which brings me to my biggest issue with Cup 2s… the price. You will be out $2k for *spec connects. That’s a lot of money for a tire that’s outclassed by more dedicated and cheaper options. I won’t run them again as I have multiple sets of wheels so I don’t need to compromise on street vs track. However, if I only had one set of wheels I would look at other track capable options like RE71RS which are much faster, cheaper, better in the wet, and are more civilized on the street. Or Conti ECFs which are still faster (albeit slower than 71s), have insane longevity, and also have decent wet performance. I did not dislike them as a tire - I dislike how expensive they are and how quick they fall off with regular track use. They sure do look pretty tho as tires go:

I currently have 2 sets of wheels the 930M with PS4S that came with the M2 and 826M M3 takeoffs with nearly new Pzeros. I'm boing to run them both down on track and then have the 930M with winter or all weather tires and the 826M with track/fair weather street tires.
On the OEM sizes there is the Cup 2 Connect, Cup 2 R, PZero Trofeos, Nakang CRS and AD09 on tire rack. RugbyBro between those which one would you pick for this platform? Primary goal is tires that last longer with track use and are consistent on 20 min sessions. Thanks.

If you want consistency then you want to look at endurance tires; of that group it'll be the AD09s. These will also last the longest of the group so you'll get the most days out of them. I like endurance tires for pure seat time, so this would probably be my pick. Track/S runs these and likes them a lot. If you want pure speed it would be the CRS. They will not last as many days and will start drop to endurance tire pace after some hard laps so they need tire management. Price is a bit steep, and if you aren't fast enough to really take advantage of these, it can be a waste. Cup 2 R and Trofeo R are quite fast but very expensive. Also, Supercar 3Rs seem to be the gold standard for PBs but they have very low longevity. These compete more with CRS/RE71RS than they do with AD09s/RS4s/Cup 2s. As for regular Cup 2 (240tw) they would be a tad slower than AD09s and won't last as long. I also remember now my other major gripe with them which is they are extremely finicky about pressures. It felt like as soon as I was even a PSI over 36 *hot* the tires get real greasy (which only gets worse as you build up the heat cycles) - optimal pressure zone was quite narrow (34psi - 36psi hot). In contrast, running RS4s was so much better as they had the same pace but were completely happy operating in a wider pressure zone (34psi - 40psi hot)
