No longer a teaser; gold bronze 827M

I just got my summer wheels in. I have been going back and forth between OEM wheels or something like Apex. I pulled the trigger on a set of 827M wheels in gold bronze.

It's not quite time to mount them, but I'll go ahead and get them ready. I'm also thinking of trying out a ceramic in them too. They look like a pain to keep clean.

Were you able to find a used pair or had to order new?

I lost patience and ordered new. I've kept my eyes open for used sets but they're either far away or people who want to scam you. I just ordered from my dealership.

I would definitely ceramic coat them, not just for brake dust but for protection and cleaning in general.

Beautiful wheels. Hope you got a nice employee discount on them. I was on the same boat and found a deal I couldn't pass up on 826M Bicolors. Still debating having them powder coated in a color similar to the 827M.

I did, but it is comparable with the lowest price I found from an online BMW parts distributor

I definitely will, but these will have my summer tires in them. It will be at least another month, maybe 6 weeks.

I got my tires mounted and tried my hand at ceramic coating. I used Adam's Graphene Ceramic Coating. What a huge pain. My hands were cramped after getting inside all those spokes. It was not easy and I felt like quitting after the first wheel.

I don't know anything about ceramic coating. I think I might wait a few days and then put on another coating. I'm sure I missed places because of the difficulty getting in all the tight spokes. It took me about 1.5 hours. The barrels are easy so they got 2 coats. I might just hit the spokes again.

I recently switched out OEM to Isweep 1500 and brake dust is drastically reduced. No more cleaning 2-3x weekly.

YMMV

they would look awesome. I think a gold or bronze would look great on Twilight Purple. That is the route I am going. I like the 1000M wheels in gold.

Love the wheels!

1) square or staggered setup? If square 20s -- any change in ride?
2) spacers?
