Two years in

Brought my vehicle in for the 2 year service; had not had a software update since I had the vehicle; this was taken care of without a problem; routine service also done; complained about passenger side rear end noise and the right rear strut was changed; after a test drive by the tech it was still making noise and another part was changed and no more noise from the right rear; what a difference; didn't realize how bad it was.

Also had a bent rim which was replaced/repaired under the wheel and tire insurance I have.

Love the car as my daily driver.

Had a 2023 3 series as a loaner; had to deal with new interface(giant glass screen) of a dashboard; I guess there is a learning curve until you get used to it; and the mini toggle shift of a shifter.

What other part was changed? Can you post a photo of the paperwork you received showing what was done?

Yep, unfortunately did not stop the noise in my case. I’ll attach the repair order with part numbers.

May be I’ll give it a try. Can’t hurt. At least I’ll end up with some brand new struts lmao.

Do it and let us know! In my case, they basically said it’s a nuisance noise without any official fix. I drove a 2024 M240i on the lot which has the exact same noise.

I believe there MAY be a revised strut that makes less noise but has the same exact part number, no revision etc. maybe you’ll get a good and quiet one

I drove a few. All of them have it. It’s almost like a default sound. Haven’t yet driven one without it. Most folks listen to music so they don’t hear this as often. I have mild OCD. These stuff really can be heard by me. But I also have a very logical mind. Everyone has it = doesn’t affect me.

Nevertheless. Will attempt a try. Won’t hurt. My service is due 4/30.

My thoughts exactly! The noise (or any noise for that matter) really bothers me. But now knowing that EVERY M240i has it bothers me slightly less. Good luck my friend don’t forget to let us know the outcome 👍

I’m in the UK, so “warm weather” is not exactly something I’m used to!

I’ve but a few potholes at just 2k miles. They’re unavoidable here in the UK.
Hoping for no damage.
