Exhaust Options! Need help
Hi all I just got a 2023 M2, I'm in the market for a valved exhaust system. Did little bit of research but this is what I found so far in my options. If there any valved exhaust out there that work with the OEM buttons that would be amazing
Active Autowerke - Equal Length Midpipe - Valved Axel Back - CAT downpipes I just had a few questions and concerns. I want to keep the OEM button to use and open the valves does your axel back system use the OEM valve button that would go with the M1&M2 button depending on the setting set. For the axel back with it being valved, when the valves are open are they open 100% or are they open like 80% like BMW? First time on Bimmerpost! pls be nice haha |

To be able to fully open and close, you will need a remote valve controller. None of them will sync with the M button on the console. I can only speak as to Valvetronic's, it can be paired with the buttons on the mirror.
If the exhaust you purchase doesnt come with the controller, there are many on the market (I know SST is a popular brand). As to brand and type of exhaust, that is up to you, what you want, what you plan on doing and how much you want to pay. Me, personally, I have and recommend the following (if you are not tuning, I dont recommend highflow or catless downpipes): Valvetronic valved sport exhaust system Evolution Racewerks highflow catted downpipes |

You can also consider starting with just the equal length mid, see how it sounds to you, maintains existing button control etc, then move on to a dp, again no change to valve control, then move on to the axleback lastly and make a decision on the valves at that point.
Or go for a complete system up front and full send! |
