Gas Door Material (aluminum or plastic)?

I have a couple of what look like small dents on my gas door. I had two PDR guys come out and both suggest I won’t be able to fix it because it looks like the door is plastic not aluminum. Can anyone help confirm?

You can tell by touch it is plastic
