Brake dust is no joke

Brake dust is no joke on this car. This is only after 2 short drives after a wash. Hard to keep her clean.

Yeah sucks. Need ceramic pads, but it feels like a waste with so much life left on the stock ones.

I recommend the EBC red pads; they fix the dust and squeal issues.

Without going into a huge discussion. I’ve had other cars with Brembos and no squeal at all for the lifetime of the car. I’m fine with some squeal with light braking on performance cars. But mines loud as hell lol. And it didn’t even start until 300 miles on the odometer. (At 460 now).

I can't comment on the squeal. I haven't noticed it on my car (knock on wood)

I know of another with absolutely zero squeal as well. Weird how some of us are cursed with it. I’ll bring it up at break-in. But I know the answer.

Weekly repost, lmao. Use google next time? There's nothing you can do except change the pads to something worse or live with it. You bought an M car, and then you chose black wheels. This is what they do.

I installed isweep 2000 pads and while they dust more than the 1500 series pads it’s not as bad as oem. No squeal with much more linear feel than stock pads

break dust

I too have not had any squeal in 3k of driving... and not sure why after seeing numerous post.. but I do hate the dust.. not sure at what point but I'm going to give Porterfield R4-s pads a go... got a set for another car that I have and they have worked well....
If the next 2025/26 offer Ceramic, I'm all in... low dust and ceramic's well haul your ass to a stop right now....

Wait for the EBC Red to return to stock or try our second best seller, Porterfield R4-S(the best seller for the F87 M2C).

Is the current theory still that the red optional calipers and pads ARE in fact different/more aggressive (making squealing an issue) than the blue calipers and pads?
And if so, what is a pad great at minimizing dust, and keeping the performance with the optional red calipers?? Is it posible to have both of those AND no squealing?

Whoever came up with that theory must be the same guy that invented the tire lottery lol

Yes it’s true, but only on odd numbered days when the humidity is over 43%.

LMAO guess the squealing is random across both options. If the red "M Compound" option is just a color change, then I'd just get the standard blue calipers and change pads for the dust.
