Millltek vs Remus

Hi all, my G87 will be delivered in first week of April. I am looking for aftermarket catback exhaust like Milltek or Remus. Any recommendation or feedback of these two exhaust? Any drone issue? Thanks 🙏🏻

I would not even consider Remus.

Milltek makes a good product, in general, but cant comment on their G87 catback.

Best catbacks IMO right now are Valvetronic and Fi (Fi is more expensive and the extra cost for their valve controller will put them out of the running by some).

I'd go with REMUS over Milltek, their build quality is better

I would not touch valvetronic with a 10 foot pole. White label and made in china. Terrible build quality and all marketing. Pretty sure the same white label company can be found on aliebaba.

Better do some research before making false statements. Valvetronic for the G87 is NOT made in China. Its made in Taiwan (like Fi).

I, personally, wouldn't touch Remus or Milltek.

That’s funny, I emailed them and asked about the G87 exhaust…and they replied with the words “yes, it’s manufactured in CHINA”.

So maybe YOU need to do the research before making false statements

Attachment for your discretion. I cropped screenshot. Let me know if you want full size.

That is odd. I was on the phone with him last July when ordering mine and was told otherwise. I am goung to see what the deal is with what I was told. I have the catback on my car and the construction and fit was clean and perfect and performance is outstanding.

Be sure to check the welding in the Remus and Milltek. Last I know, they mig weld their products. Haven't seen their G87 exhausts but they have been done this way on other models.

Just giving you a hard time lol. At the end of the day it’s metal, I’m sure it’s just fine.

IMO china these days manufacturers just as good of stuff. I’m just weird I guess and prefer the boujee “made in UK” “made in Germany” “made in USA”.

…which inherently might not always be the best of quality either!

Not to get political but depending on which side of the fence said person sits Taiwan is or is not China. I’ve lived in Asia for 15 years the perception of x is better than y with regards to Asian products solely depends on the brand values and their facility’s / R&D country of origin is irrelevant.

On topic I have the Miltek the version with centre resonator delete, wish I’d gone for the Akra. Cars too loud valves open for me also it drones at 120 kmh. 25 year old me wouldn’t be complaining at all but I guess I’ve gotten old and picky. I also think the tips are comically large.

I saw your post. Your running it with the AA EL mid correct?

With the valves closed does it drone terribly?

Yep! With valves closed it’s really quite civil. With valves closed there is very little drone, if any, according to my ears anyways.

Does it bolt right up to the AA EL? Or trimming required.

It comes with an extra midpipe/H-pipe section that removes the rear resonator if you were going to run the stock midpipe. Since I already had the AA mid I just put that H-pipe section aside and am not using it. The axle back section matches perfectly with the AA mid.
