For comparison the F87 M2 CS was 4.72 slower with the same driver.

So they got 509 HP and 3776 lbs. when they dyno'd and weighed it? And it was faster than the 3500 lbs. F87 CS?
That my friends, is called progress. Good for BMW for stepping it up with their performance.

Golf R did a 7:47 I believe. But yeah, you can get some insane performance from any of the super hot hatches for relatively little money, the CTR is also a rocket

Some interesting variations based on options
So thats the current automatic on r compounds.
Manual would be slower
Both on ps4s would be slower

And the 2025 auto on r cops should be around 7:30. Similar to rwd m4 auto

This is awesome info - but sadly I skipped my German classes in high-school.

Can someone summarize in a table the basic stats for F87CS vs G87 vs F82?

Were they all auto and on Cup 2s?

These are great numbers for a base G87 M2 with RWD. Can only imagine what a AWD & possibly lighter version could do.

True. Most likely would be EITHER xDrive, OR light weight. No way we will get both in the same car. And with the way these cars handle their heavier weight already, give me the xDrive!

So interesting.

Remember all of the G87 haters who had convinced themselves that the F87Comp (and certainly F87 CS) would be faster, handle better and be more capable on a track? As a former F87 and now G87 owner, I can say, that was bunk, as this test confirms!

Where are they now?

Crickets .....

I doubt that very much with how the actual value of F87s dropping like flies. For shits and giggles, I looked at Carvana for what I could sell my old F87C (2020, 25K miles) would be, $32K. Yes, $32K is what they would pay for it. I looked at Bring a Trailer to get actual sold values, low mileage M2 Comps are in the mid $45K and non Comp models are in the low to mid $33K. It's called a reality check, the G87 made the F87 values plummet.

I was being a bit cheeky. Yes not unusual to see previous gen values decrease a bit. My 17 M2 was a good machine and I fully enjoyed it overall.

Covid sure did a number on used car values though. I sold my F87C about a year ago when I got my G87. Sold it for like $10K less than what I bought it for, 4 years before that. Now that's a good deal.

F87 M2CS has done quite well in resale value. Almost all of them listed on autotrader are above original msrp.

F80/F82 CS on the other hand has not.

Sort of, the F87 M2CS values have also taken a hit but not as bad as the non-CS cars. Here's the last few sold on Bring a Trailer
$77K, 8K miles - https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2020-bmw-m2-cs-30/
$77K, 14K miles - https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2020-bmw-m2-cs-31/
$81.5K, 5K miles - https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2020-bmw-m2-cs-33/
Base price on these cars was $84K new. So they are relatively close to MSRP, not bad for a 4+ year old car.

2020 M2 CSs with about 20,000Km (12,000 miles) are selling for about 85% of the original on-the-road price in Canada at the moment.
