Hi,
For my g87 m2, I am interested in purchasing a set of tires for traveling the greatest range, don’t really care for performance as I need tires that last. So far, I am interested in the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 PLUS because it has the greatest tread wear rating (560) on the TireRack website. My car is bone stock. Has anyone tried these tries? Does it rub? Are there any other recommendations that are better than this or in general? |

I have them on my Golf R and have had them on several cars in the past. Great all-season tire. They perform shockingly well in the dry too. Great longevity.

Oh, the G42 M240 should be treated the same as the G87. The 230i is the economical car. |

I've been using the DWS 06+ as my fair weather winter tires. Can't speak to their longevity though, since my car has 5,500 miles, and only about 700 of those have been on the DWS06+. They drive fine for a sporty car. Switching to Sport Cup 2 in the summer

I've run Michelin all season tires on at least one other car and the same goes for Pirelli. In fact Pirelli all season (and run flats too boot) are on my 2024 BMW 230xi. But I think the Continentals will prove a good choice. Of course they'll not offer the grip the high performance tires (in the case of my 2023 M2 Michelin tires) provide but if extended tire life is what you want extended tire life is what you'll get. My standard response to someone shopping tires is try to stay with tires/sizes that are factory sanctioned. If BMW offers all season tires as an option on the M2 then use those tires -- assuming with the selection of all season tires the wheels are *not* different from the wheels that come fitted with high performance tires. Or at Tire Rack search for suitable tires for your M2. Tire Rack should come up with tires with the same size or equivalent size. Curious I just visited Tire Rack. Just one size came up -- this for the recommended tire. Factory Tire Size Front Size 19" 275/35-19 Load Range: XL Rear Size 20" 285/30-20 Load Range: XL There was a button to click to view the results of the tire search. The 1st page was just high performance tires. The 2nd page listed this tire: Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus Ultra High Performance All-Season in the sizes that match the car's factory tire sizes. So that suggests the Continental tires will fit. And this is the tire you specifically mentioned in your post. |
