I like the look of the stock manual shifter but I do not like the feel. What are some good options out there? Pics would be appreciated.

I’ve seen the aluminum ones on IND and other sites but nothing that really looks like something I’m interested in.

This is the closest style I have seen that I am entertaining, but also not sure on fit.

Anyone fit this or some similar knob on a G87? Says it does not fit so…

Any good alternatives?

Check the Interior sub-forum, there is a thread posted with pictures of options including the one you linked.

I went with the one you linked to with a custom boot from RedLineGoods.com since the included boot doesn't fit.

Thanks all. Seems like I am not missing any hidden gems unfortunately. Aftermarket shift knob options are lacking for this G87 it seems. Oh well, thanks again.

That website is horrible- barely usable. Which sucks, cause it looks like they have nice stuff to offer.

Check out Black Forest Industries. A lot of folks get these & rave about them - quality, feel, looks.

Hey - that's sharp. What is that boot made of? If it's fabric, is it thick/seem robust like it will last?

I have the matte black Billetworkz (note it doesn’t come with that red trim). It weighs more than the stock knob and I love the feel of the alcantara.

Thanks! Yeah, I’ve had BFi knobs in my VWs and In.Focus boots in a bunch of my other cars so carried on the tradition.

The boot fabric is a thicker cloth material. I’ve never had issues with my other boots from them falling apart or anything.

They don’t make boots specifically for G87s so I just got the generic version and did a replace on a new oem shift boot assembly then swapped it out.

MASHCT Actually, scratch that… double checked and I got the boot sized for the Mitsubishi EVO X as that seemed closest to the G87 boot dimensions after doing some research. And it fit!

Resurrecting this thread. I am looking for and want a carbon fiber replacement shift knob for the G87 M2. Alcantara boot is just a bonus. Anyone? Any updates our there for this? Thanks.

Just ordered one today from IND. it’s the F87 aftermarket one. Comes with a boot.

Was under the impression that needs customization to fit the G87. Correct?

No it’s simple as taking boot off and the OE knob, place the boot back and then new one smacks in. They say use some glue as well for a tight fit.
