rev counter

Is it only the new 335 coupe that has the rev counter showing markings up to 8000 rpm, or do some of the other petrol saloon engine cars also go as high as 8000? I thought by their nature 6-in-line engines didn't really need to be revved that high? I think the rev counter in the 130i might actually go up to 8000.

The RX8 goes up to 9000. other than that I have no idea.

the rx8's engine is a bit different though, its a rotary engine

Motorbike engines are 4 cylinder only and redline at 14-16k.
