HUD... I lasted ~3 days
I finally turned it off. It's informative and maybe fantastic on the track but I couldn't make it work.
Just too distracting. |

Funny, I'm complete opposite. I forget about mine 90% of the time, stare right through it. I keep looking at the dash (muscle memory) and have top tell myself that info is on the HUD.

I generally like the HUD in normal mode. If it didn’t have the blue it would be less distracting. I keep hoping some software update gives an option to remove it.

I think I struggle because to lower it enough that it's not in the way gets over the plane and it's cropped from beneath.
Maybe I'm sitting too low but that certainly feels like something I signed up for in a car like this. |

What HUD? Oh yeah, that thing I barely notice.

I'm the opposite as I rely exclusively on the HUD and do not look at the gauge display at all. I guess it's a function of 3 of our 4 vehicles have HUD. We travel a lot and most rental cars don't have HUD, so I have to re-train my eyes.

Check the dash only for tire/oil temp. I do only use sport hud with tach. |

There is a module/dongle you can buy. Easy instal. I use it. It binds sport display to M1/M2.

I have had a BMW with a HUD for like 10 years. There was no way I would buy a car without it.
I don't even consciously notice it most of the time, but I do rely on it for speed and directions. |

I was like this for a while, loved my C7 hud but turned off the m2 one after a few days, thought it was massive and obstructed too much. Now I don’t even notice it anymore, feels natural just like my corvette’s

First car with one, and I love it. I already miss it when I'm in my truck.
What I do find distracting is dealing with the main dashboard. As with the HUD, the sport mode seems a little better. But, with the HUD, I rarely need to look at it while driving. |

I almost always turn HUD off in every car, never found a reason to keep it on, might be OK on a track for revs. Its not obstructive but I just rarely find use, maaaaybe when I need satnav, not sure.

Ha! That's funny right there...after awhile that's true. For me, on my other two, I keep looking for it....

Yeah, I've had so many vehicles with HUD I simply turn down the brightness on it and only look down at it when I have to. But then again when I drive I'm looking far out and constantly scanning front and sides and mirrors and not just looking at my hood.
