I figured I’d bring a little light to the subject because I’m one of the people waiting for better color choices.
I’m not interested in another full-time job otherwise I would buy a Black M2 and some of the other colors are not exactly my thing. I’ve had a Red BMW before and I don’t want the pastels that BMW thinks we all want. I know first world problems. What are your thoughts? What colors do you like? What do you think BMW M needs to do to peak your interest… to make you jump ship from your current car and move to the next?

It’s the only color I like currently other than black and maintaining a black is just too much for me to wrap my head around
Although I’m not sure if my OCD would allow me to have a frozen color either without PPFing the entire car

The car looks so good in black I ordered that. I would have liked skyscraper grey though.

I like that it doesn’t show micro scratches.

Let’s see the high impact areas would be the entire front end the lower kickers, the rear hips, and the roof. What am I missing and behind the rear tires

BSM looks absolutely sinister on the G87 What other colors did you like in the pallet of current choices and what color might you choose IF you were able to make another choice?

I like Toronto Red (black wheels/black interior) with lip, CF mirror caps, and CF spoiler. Here is that look on our M240i (Melbourne Red Metallic not TR) |

Carbon Black is a much better black than BSM, but I'd never own a black car that wasn't completely ppf'd. If a bright metallic orange was offered, I'd trade my Toronto Red in a heartbeat. Isle of Man Green or Verde Ermes would be nice. Marine Bay Blue would also look great. Love it on my wife's X3MC.

That color is gone too, unfortunately
Portimao Blue Metallic is most likely what is coming for the 25 MY

I was dead-set on Frozen Portimao Blue, but the rumors of regular Portimao Blue Metallic have me thinking. Both would get front end PPF and ceramic.
One would give much fewer potential headaches during ownership. One would look absolutely freaking amazing. Would BMW offer both Metallic and Frozen Portimao in the same model year?

I gave my CA a deposit on a 2025 in March just because it made more sense to me than ordering a 2024 at that time, and then within a few months it would already be one model year old. So nothing to do with color. I was thinking I'd replace my white 2021 M2C with a white G87, but then I saw a Zandvoort Blue M2 at a dealership and loved it. I'm planning on ordering the 2025 in ZB, but just praying that they don't drop the color when the ordering guide is released.

I almost cancelled my order when I heard new colors might be coming but decided to take my Brooklyn Grey. It’s one of those kind of trendy flattish gray colors and I felt was the best of limited options. It changes with different light, looks great with black accents and looks good dirty. I would almost always choose a darker gray like Skyscraper or a deep blue. I absolutely love my Lapis Blue Pearl Subaru STi color. It looks like candy.
The BG is growing on me. I’m not a fan Matte or Frozen colors. It’s just way too trendy and aftermarket looking, and prefer the deep shine of a metallic. |
