ebay MP-style rear spoiler $87

Picked up this gloss black MPerformance-style rear spoiler off eBay for $87. Quality is good, paint is also good. There is one small drip in the paint on the leading edge, not a big deal. Excuse the poor pics as I was just test fitting it & my oem spoiler is still on. It will be going to the paint shop to be painted TR to match before I install it. Came with a roll of double-sided tape (not pre-installed). Vendor's name was CuztomTuning.

Update on this. I removed the oem spoiler then test fit the new spoiler again. Not 100% happy with the fitment so going to return it.

Interesting when I removed the oem spoiler it appears the adhesive left marks in the clear coat. I've gone over it multiple times with my DA orbital polisher but you can still see them at certain angles. The marks are only on the driver's side also.

* side note, I kinda like the rear end without the factory spoiler.

Is it like the adhesive etched it self on the clear coat, similar to bird poop? If so, that's weird as hell...

Yeah, just like that. Only on the driver's side. If you rub your hand lightly over the area you can feel slight bumps whereas the passenger side where the spoiler was is completely smooth. Very weird indeed. I've removed countless oem spoilers before and never had that happen.

The clear coat being etched by adhesive, that some acidic adhesive...not sure how you can correct, unles you do a bit of wet sanding and polish perhaps? But I am no expert

I'm just going to cover it with either the oem spoiler again or an aftermarket.
