Active Cruise helped with a difficult situation today

Today I was driving in traffic, and came behind someone who'se brake lights were completely gone, so I had no forewarning that they were braking. I couldn't get around them. It is quite stressful driving behind someone like this in traffic, so I just set the active cruise and whenever they used their brake, or just lifted off the accelerator, I felt it straight away and could take over. This made the situation much less stressful...

Anyone else have any active cruise stories to share?

ahh thats pretty cool,,definitly is stressful in traffic driving behind a car wiht no tailights..Glad it worked good for u!

Very cool. Here's my active cruise control story - it's not available on the e90's in Canada. Definitely an option I would have like to have had, but alas, no such luck. Balls!

cool I never thought about that being an advantage but it really is. I usually blow by the person and get in front of them in the same situation.

Yes I usually try to get around them as quickly as possible too, but sometimes you can't for a while, or like I was just stuck in traffic!
