Configuring the amazing canDO Plus module - customize screens and more
All right yall, time to get serious and show off the power of the amazing canDO Plus unit in my BMW. Make sure to check out the easy install DIY that was posted, but this is all about configuring the box to do what YOU want to do in your car.
I went looking for a solution for a bad design choice from BMW (can't auto assign/change my gauges display when I press M1/M2 buttons?! What?!?!) and found a truly sophisticated choice. The canDO Plus has wifi and a built-in web page allow you to create associations to do functions the car won't do for you! For example, when I press my M2 button now (full 'send it' mode for sport plus everything and more) will also change my displays to Sport mode. Then, when I switch back off M2, my displays will go back to Road mode! The other thing to emphasize, this is just the beginning to put it mildly! Not only are the developers still expanding the functionality of this device, but the possibility of these associations is also massive. I have NO doubt that as the enthusiast community embraces this incredible unit, folks will come up with new combinations and functions, customized for exactly what they want their car to do. For example, and the thing, I am working on since this video? Changing my interior lights for 'send it' mode... M2 button push, full sport everything, and sport displays AND my interior lights change to RED. I will also have my M2 off set to flip modes back including changing my lights back to blue. Check this out, do the 5min installation, and unlock your ability to customize your car functions!

Thanks Stefan!
Thought I'd mention for 100% clarity that you can have quite a few triggers (there are currently 34 triggers, I believe), and as many actions per trigger as you want, so users can really tailor the behaviours to their liking. See below, for a couple of quick examples. |
