M Performance HAS - Port Installed Setting with Pictures

Here are pictures of my front left and right settings for the MP HAS, which or factory ordered and installed at the Port of NY/NJ VPC.

I read in multiple places that the nominal setting from the port is -10mm/0.4in.

For those who know, eyeballing the adjustment range position, does this look full down? It loooks like more than -10mm to me.

Thanks.

Are you referring to my pictures? Should I try to adjust the boots?

P.S. Of course, my car was on a jack in the front, as I was flipping my wheels/tires on the paddock.

Man. It looks like mine is setup much lower. My spring perch’s are over the shocks.

Is this thing a random draw of the installer?

Boots look fine. The spring sits on a pad that's separate from the boot itself. The bad angle of the pics make it look like one piece, it's not.

Looks like it's bottomed out on yours. Take gap measurements and compare.

Can you post shots of your ride height? I'm curious to see how low it gets as I plan to lower it eventually 😎

Day of delivery at the dealer and after 500 miles. It does not look good without spacers like I have it. But does not seem too low.

Is there supposed to be a set screw in the hole in the first pic? The other persons picture looks like there is an orange set screw.

The drop looks good. When any car is lowered the top of the tire tucks into the wheel well more. Running spacers or getting wheels with different offset comes with the territory. Do you not like the current height or feel it's too stiff that you want to raise it?

Beats me. First BMW ever. Seems to function well on track. No noises or unexpected behavior. But can’t say I have full confidence in the port install.

I feel the height is perfect. No issues over speed bumps, etc. Was just wondering if mine is maxed out or the nominal -10mm everyone speaks off. I would not want to go any lower. Can’t even get a jack for the front center lift point without ramps.

Appears to just be a mark indicating it's been torqued down. Since your perch is bottomed out there's no need to torque it.

Port installed at only the 10mm drop. You can see a significant difference than that of Robs above where they clearly maxed his drop at install.

My steering wheel is also slight out of center, did they have to remove the steering wheel to correct? I am going to the dealer next week for my break in service.

No. Just normal alignment and reset steering wheel centering. It’s one of the advantages of electrical steering - you can set the center position with the computers 😎
