Std brakes on G87 M2?

Hi folks. I'm new to the BMW owner's world. I am a car guy whose owned many hi perf. cars. I'm tangled up in the brake world of the
G87 M2. Someone please get me straight before I order different
brake pads for my G87 M2 that is due to arrive end of month.

What are the std brakes on the front/back of this car?
I know they are Brembo made for BMW.

Are they: 6 piston or 4 piston up front? And for the rears: Are they 2 piston or 1 piston?

Thanks for the help. I know there are many upgrades in brakes from BMW etc. Just got twisted up concerning the Base model set up.

6 piston fixed calipers front, 1 piston floating rear. Huge pad discussion here: https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2095315

Thank you much. I appreciate your reaching out with info. I'm somewhat surprised that the rear is a one piston...but, now that
i think about it, my Mustang has 6 piston Brembos on front and
a std Ford 1 piston on rear.

The single piston for the sliding rear caliper allows an integral motor for the electric parking brake, otherwise a separate parking brake system would be required. Some higher-end cars such as the AMG GT also use the same style of single piston caliper, as do all of the BMW CLAR platform cars (basically M240i upwards and all X & M-Series).
