Evolution Racewerks INSTALLED Competition Series Midpipe

Sound clip here:

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/LAOezocimiY

Install took 2 hours with a pipe cutter from Harbor Freight and Basic Hand Tools.

Fitment was Good no complaints here!

RG sport supplied the mid pipe locally.

25$ Pipe cutter gave some clean cuts.

There were NO instructions but we used the MIDDLE DIMPLE out of the 3 dimples on the exhaust pipe! Hope this thread saves you some time.

I do need to adjust the pipes they are hitting the center brace.

Here is a quick Movie if you are wondering how this sounds.

I wanted some RASP, and didnt want a single mid pipe like everyone else.

Start up can be really loud now in sport + or really quiet in Efficient mode.

It is quiet on the freeway in efficient mode, and its kinda too quiet in Sport + on the freeway I do kind of want more sound.

Locally when I drive around its got some good sound, I do kind of want more sound, so I am thinking of resonated catless down pipes.

Aggressive up shifts are SOOO addicting now, before this car was really really like a dyson vac... quiet as F.. I almost wanted to get a refund on my m2 ... kidding.

But we will see, I will enjoy it as it for now.

I also have a SST valve controller on order which I will install in a few weeks.

So the ER midpipes are one of few that don’t come with a new brace and you say yours are hitting. Do you think you’ll be able to adjust them? Are they going to be close?

My PSI midpipe was rattling on the brace as well. I ended up buying the AA brace. Note that if you buy the AA brace, there is a G87 specific part. I was confused as several sites advertise the AA brace as G8x and say it fits G87. While I believe this is technically true, I don't think all of the mounting holes line up and believe you only use 4 of 6 bolts (still not 100% certain). The G87 and G8x are slightly different designs and have different part numbers.

The SST valve controller is awesome. I was initially on the fence about it, but I'm so glad I picked it up. Super easy to install and I love being able to quiet the exhaust if a cop gets behind me. If you don't use your homelink for your garage you can program the buttons for SST.

We offer the MAD brace for $249

That said, you should not have fitment issues with the dual midpipe

I didnt think I would have any issues either.

But I will readjust the pipes.

Maybe add a few spacers on the brace before i put them on.
