I highly doubt you're going to get anywhere near the unloading areas or VPC without an invite bud. Ports are usually guarded by homeland security officers and they don't just let anyone in.

It is in Port Hueneme, which is basically a naval base. You may be able to see it get transported to VPC

You will require access to Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) on the Port Hueneme entrance. If you have DoD credentials you may be able to enter the base, but the VPC is fenced off and access is guarded. Been on that base countless times.

I can usually get in military installations via VA card. Your car still gets searched and all, it was just an idea. VPC use to give tours during some events, this was back in 04 when I bought my 2nd E46.

VPC at Port Hueneme is at the Naval Air Station there.

It seems like a logistical nightmare. Even if you found out where they were unloading and were able to get access how would you know what time they were unloading or be able to identify which car was even yours? I get the temptation as I live 15 mins away and joked about it but didn’t seem worth even that.

Honestly while the excitement is real. It's a lot better to see your car at the dealer shined and ready for you with a bow on top vs off-loaded from a cargo ship dripped in plastic and likely dusty. Could also very well be in the middle of the night. It will be very anticlimactic even if you saw a peak of it from a quarter mile away for all but 10 seconds at best.

I've toured the VPC on Arcturus with BMWCCA and have had several cars delivered through there. I drove by when my most recent ship was in port (last year) but it's almost impossible to know when unloading/transport occurs. The cars are driven 2.1 miles from port to VPC. The VPC is in an industrial park area of Oxnard. The commercial port is operated by the Oxnard Harbor district - neither facility is associated with the adjacent Naval Base.

My CA knew someone at the port and sent me a pic of M4 on the vessel - sort of fun at the moment but scary how close they park!

Thats what I thought that it wasn't associated with the Naval base there. I went there back in 2002 but I didn't remember where it was as I didn't drive there I was a passenger.
