Right leaning.
No, I'm not talking about politics despite a looming general election set for 4th July.
I speak of the driving position in my 2023 G42 M240i X-Drive. The pedal seems uncomfortably positioned to the right, rather than directly in front of the driver. Is it just me or have other people noticed this? Or is this unique to Right hand drive UK cars only? Either way it makes the car uncomfortable on long journeys. |

I have noticed my general right foot placement, which I leave between the gas and brake (since I used to drive manual and still do via sim racing) is a bit of an unnatural spot. I feel the accelerator pedal is a bit far to the right. It doesn't bother me much, but I have found my right foot to be unnaturally canted to the right.

Think this arises from the car being built in a RHD configuration. The problem is car was not designed ground up to be LHD or RHD but LHD. As a result RHD pedal location can be compromised. |

Due to the transmission tunnel, many BMWs have the pedals shifted to the outside of the vehicle, so yes, RHD will have them further to the right than, say, a FF car. My M2 (LHD) has it shifted to the left and it drives me a bit nuts.
