Everyone hurry up, get those orders in ASAP…these things are gonna be piling up on dealer lots with incentives in 6-12 months, so you really want to get ahead of that!

What does this even mean. I’m next up for an allocation. I already put a deposit. What do I have to do now?

Contact your CA, get the pricing guide, and give them your build.

I put a deposit on a 2025 allocation in March. My CA emailed the PDF pricing guide this Wednesday, I picked my options and colors, sent them to her, and she inputted them in their system. Now we wait for BMW to get back to her with an allocation.

Just asking, has there ever been M cars piling up on dealer lots?

Point is, this product is not flying off the shelves, so why rush and pre-buy, pay full msrp (or more), when you can without doubt snag one as they start delivering with some incentives. Rates are up big, the macro / economy is weakening, auto volumes are just down generally and this is a product that’s controversial even among M lovers like myself…if you want the car, awesome and go for it, I’m just saying no rush in pre buying this car simply to be one of “the first” when in reality it’s not going to be some Uber rare unique model and you can definitely snag one down the road for a better price. That’s all.

And yes, I have several friends in my network who work in sales and service at BMW dealers. This M2 is not flying off the shelves…the CS, now that will be another story and if you must have one of those and get on that list as soon as it opens up. But this one? Unless you need the car asap, a little patience will be rewarded.

Correct...cause they aren't piled on the shelves to begin with. No dealerships loading their lots with M cars down here. Sales for G80 & G87 are stronger than G82. Hell, it's not like there are unlimited allocations available...

Sales are in part a function of demand, but also supply and price. If you make more, and offer folks good deals, you can shatter sales records. And that’s what they’re doing. It’s not 2020/2021 anymore, times have changed, and all I’m saying is, why not be patient and take advantage of that?

But all good, I don’t want to distract from the point of this thread any further. If you want one asap, go for it!

As a BMW dealer employee, regarding M cars and more specifically the M2, I could not disagree with this more, unless you’re referring to the option of purchasing pre-owned later on.

There have never in the past 6+ years been strong incentives on any M2. In fact, there’s never even been any employee incentives on the G87 or G80.

Sure, you can wait for incentives, it might happen, and that incentive will probably save you about $500 if you’re a current BMW owner and finance with BMW FS. Worth the wait?

Not really worth it imo

You cannot buy back time

Totally agree & are you going to find the exact spec you want sitting in a showroom ? I seriously doubt it.

Also your spending quiet a lot on a new G87 so are you really going to wait with the pipedream of ‘maybe’ saving a few bucks ? Some of you must be financing to the hilt to worry about such things, in which case you should probably buy something you can actually afford.
