Looks great, but I will forever be partial to the 4x4 height from the factory. Going from my 135 to my 235, there was an appreciable increase in approach angles I could do without scraping the bumper. I watched a salesman put this to the test when he drove a 235 right over a parking spot curb that would've torn my 1er's bumper off. Not sure if the M2 is that high, but height is so, so nice in the city.

Wanting height + sports car is so strange to me... just buy a sporty crossover or something, it looks so much more natural on a car like that

There's a difference between "height" and scraping the crap out of the bottom of car on the street. 99.9% of these are most likely driven on the street not the track, so they don't need to be hugging the ground. The M2 also isn't a sports car, so there's that. My Z06 sits 3.25" off the ground, and I can tell you it's a P.I.T.A. to drive around on most city/suburban streets trying not to scrape the splitter or side skirts on everything.

100% agree, the overall look commands respect rather than begging for attention. It doesn't take much to make this platform look good.

You can get the same drop with either MPHAS or KW HAS, Macht Schnell spacers complete the look

well first its a sports sedan, compromising ultimate performance for some versatility. second, many of us (myself included) use this car for more than sunday drives. i have a lowered car now and have had many in the past and never knowing when you are going to encounter a driveway that is too steep, or a tree branch or tall piece of debris in the road, is nerve wracking in a daily. plus the standard suspension is magical in its balance of performance and ride quality - i would never swap it out unless it was for a very, very high end coilover setup. mine goes everywhere with me and the ride height is super helpful at ski resorts and poorly maintained transitions on crappy backroads.

I like a little more low and a little more flush with 18mm F&R or the equivalent in an aftermarket wheel. And don’t forget the front lip and side skirts for some extra fun over speed bumps and driveway entrances

i feel bad saying it but i just think the stock wheels hurt the style of the car more than help, and especially in gloss black. this is a great looking car with good things going for it that would look 10x better on any other OEM or aftermarket wheel. just throw a dart and pick one really

thanks. i use all my stuff as intended. everything gets taken care of but nothing is babied. my lawnmower is older than i am and never misses a beat. ive had the same pair of frontside skis (with lots of different bindings) since high school, and my clays gun until last year was a winchester super x model 1 circa 1974

im running sottozeros which did well all season simply because i found NOS rears in the right size for $125 each. otherwise i would have gone blizzaks.

my unpopular opinion is i prefer autoloaders, but i did promise myself a guerini the day i either shoot over 95 or turn 40. i think turning 40 first might be more likely

Don’t feel bad. I just posted to show stance/wheel gap. I don’t mind these as far as OEM wheels but I’d prefer 826ms if staying OEM. Not a fan of most BMW oem wheels. I already have aftermarket wheels planned and they will also be black and fit properly. I have black wheels on all my vehicles. I’d do gunmetal or bronze too but not into chrome, silver or bi color. Too much maintenance, not as aggressive looking, especially on light colors.

Fix the wheel offset, eliminate gap and a front lip and side skirts completely transforms these cars. Pic don’t do it justice. When I first saw an HEA car on showroom floor, I thought it looked weird but knew it had potential. A few simple mods and it actually looks good 👍

agreed. all ive done is spacers tints and a summer wheel change and i think it totally changes the looks of the car and pulls it all together. the stock wheels just have too much going on with all the different angles and facets; i think this is very much a car that needs a simple wheel design or it looks too busy.
