Bag holders

Has somebody already installed the OEM bag holders (51 47 0 406 386) to trunk? Are they any good?

There seems to be lots of new accessories available for E90. I just got the latest catalogue.

As well as for e91. Did You get the pricelist too? If the same catalogue is used in Germany I would be interested in getting their pricelist to compare with our prices.

Yes. I got the price list. Our prices are about 30-40% higher than in Germany.

Yes, it is outrageous. For excample blackline lights' list price is 199€ in Germany and 273€ in Finland. For some parts the difference may be even bigger. Also in Estonia or Sweden the prices are quite close to the prices in Germany so once again we are victimes of this Finnish pricing policy and taxes etc. So actually you don't have to buy very big amount of parts and it will be cheaper to fly to Germany and back.

I just ordered those bag hooks I asked about and I'll be installing them maybe on Monday.

I bought it and brought it back. It's a glorified piece of plastic. And once installed you can't lock your trap door in the up position.

Running Groceries

Hm. I just got a long Rubbermaid plastic box and it fits well in the front of the trunk. When the kids put stuff through the trapdoor, they drop into the box. Behind this I keep two grippers which look like New Jersey Barriers (movable concrete traffic barriers) which stick in place by means of minihooks which grab the flooring carpet. That makes enough compartments to keep things from rolling about. Anyway, my wife does the grocery shopping, in her Camry.

BTW, are you Paavo Nurmi or Lasse Viren?

Audi has a great gizmo that's in the trunk underneath the parcel shelf...it's gel dampened and comes down like an upside down "T" so you can hang grocery bags from it. Pretty nifty and it was dam cheap too, like under $5 at the dealer

True. When they design the bag holder, they forgot about the trap door lock. I never used that trap door lock and I won't let the groceries rolling around in my trunk anymore.

I think this is not what I ordered. I'll post pictures when I get the parts.

I got these hooks installed. They are just cheap pieces of plastic but I think they'll work all right. Hooks are hinged so you can fold them away. Sorry for a bad picture.

I think one the most useful and cheapest accessories is the coat rack that fits in back of the driver's seat - very handy....
