I am confused - my Order Number car and the car I ordered to don't match
So my dealer gave me an order number, and when I registered in my garage, the car attached to the order says "Order Received", but this car is not as I have spec'd it out. Here are the discrepancies:
My Build 6M Regular steering wheel Non-heated wheel No HUD No wireless charge Silver Wheels The Car attached to the order # Auto Alcantera Heated HUD Wireless charge Black wheels Salesman said it was a mistake of sorts, but will be changed when it goes "in production". When I brought this to his attention, he said don't worry, it's all good, it will be changed to my specs. I don't want to cross-examine this guy - I just want a car.

Normally, there are small discrepancies on the tracker, things such as brake/wheel color, individual paint, etc. However, I'd say your discrepancies are out of the norm.
If I had to bet: A.) you were provided the wrong prod # B.) you accidentally typed the wrong # C.) your sales person is a doorknob |

Ask the sales guy to provide you with the order sheet he submitted & verified. I'd also go with C above, your salesman doesn't appear to know what he's talking about.

I had no issues/discrepancies when mine went through (MY23). Odd that the system regressed over time.
To OP...ask your CA to send you an updated VIR (Vehicle Information Report). |

The photo of my M2 has black wheels but lists silver wheels under standard options, which were what I selected.
My status is also on “Order Received” and I’m wondering if I’ll be messaged when it moves through the various stages of production. |

Interestingly enough, it was updated to show silver wheels and the Manual trans, and the base steering wheel, but still shows HUD and wireless.
Progress, not perfection... And I may decide to keep the HUD

You can always ask them to log into the order bank and take a photo of the order, and text it to you.
My CA did that to confirm my order matched. She was great, she kept me looped in during the whole process and let me double-check everything. |

my car has been 102 status for weeks and I had my dude submit a change to add the wheel and remove the wireless charger, he said it was approved
the mybmw garage shows the wheel now but also still lists the charger not sure what happened there |

Why not just get the submitted order confirmation from the dealership instead of relying on the app? In 5 seconds you'd have your answer.

Mine doesn't match either. Gray with Black wheels. I am getting Twilight Purple and silver wheels. It may or may not update once I get a VIN.

When I ordered mine, I received a printout of the actual order so that I could review it right there in the dealership. I guess maybe all shops don't do that?

Now that's just nonsense, you mean actually talk to someone. What year is this, we don't actually use phones for talking anymore, and we definitely don't communicate in person. That's so 20th century.

If your CA is unresponsive, go to their manager. Do not accept shitty service. You have the right to verify you are getting what you wanted.
