I’m ordering a ‘25 G87 this fall and found two dealers that’d I’d enjoy working with. Last night I drove my first auto trans car (used 24) and after the test drive I chatted money for the first time. The CA and his manager seemed open to installing a Mishimoto plate, Lightweight front spoiler and swapping tires onto new APEX wheels before delivery at MSRP.
So I ask, did you guys get some free installs or discounts? I’d be providing the parts.

Some dealers won’t install aftermarket parts.

Make sure whatever they agree to do is in writing and signed off by their sales manager. Most of them will oblige by what they agreed to do but there are some that play the bait and switch game so CYA.

Hahahaha...first wave of MY23s you got nothing. Not sure how many dealers are throwing in items for nothing.

Did they say they would install for free? Not sure I would have any dealership touch my rims.

$1650 in full front end PPF. Was pretty happy with that incentive.

I got 4% off MSRP, didn’t ask for (or want) anything else. They also gave me a very good price on my trade in which saved me the hassle of selling privately. Was my 3rd car from this dealership and sales guy, super easy.

they threw in a replica Drive jacket so i can literally be ryan gosling

but really nothing of note. i think maybe they tossed in VIN etching or something like that. this was nov 2023

edit: they also threw in my roof cross bars and all weather floor mats at cost as well. something like $300 total

Yeah the sales manager (GM?) was outside smoking an end of day cigar when we pulled in. He seemed on board (at the time)

My overall experience was great with my 1st purchase at this dealer. My CA somehow got me an allocation with their list being a 1 year wait and I wasn't even on it. I shopped around a bit for the best interest rate and they were able to match it and save me the hassle of going and getting a cashiers check through someone else. I dont remember asking for a discount on the sales price and I did pay sticker price for the car.

Once the car arrived I asked for the M brake clips and they ordered and installed free of charge (technically not included on the newer M cars).

Other than that I didn't ask for any other free stuff but maybe next time I will be more greedy.

After having Sewell BMW of Plano destroy a tire and TPMS removing the tire, and the shop foreman arguing with me that they didn't do it - after the tech said he did, I won't have a BMW dealership touch my tires. Take your new wheels to discount tire & purchase their replacement certificates for your oem tires ($200).

It’s really all about timing. Say I bring the car home, my wife sees the bicolors, then I week later I show up with APEX or custom wheels from Andy, she’s going to give me shit, then she’ll ask what I paid, I’ll tell her $3500, then she’ll give me exponentially MORE shit. I’m bringing the car home fully modded (wheels, port has and ducts, spoilers, race ppf with ceramic and aa mid single. Keeps the peace. Don’t ask don’t tell after 100 years of marriage to a non car girl is our way for better or worse.

Speed & Tech can turnkey everything for me except the tires but I’m sure we’ll find a local tire spot we trust. Explaining why the car isn’t home for a week after we write the check is a problem I haven’t solutioned yet.

Really just having fun. I put 20k into my TT over 6 years, my thought this time is enjoy the car modded the entire 7-8 years I own it vs slowly adding stuff.

I had one of if not the first non-HEA spec cars from BMW. The first with the buckets on this forum for sure. This was a year and a half ago so the only thing I got from my dealer was a decent trade in.

Come to think of it, I also had to pay a few grand extra.

Had to "surprise" the wife with diamond earrings the week before delivery because she damn well will notice the new G87 in the garage. And of course the subsequent mods that started coming in fast and furious.
