Are 18" wheels possible on the G42, or do they not have clearance for the brakes? I was thinking of getting some 18" 230i wheels for an all weather set of tires but not sure if it's a good idea, since the G42 doesn't even offer 18" wheels on the build sheet.

G-series BMWs use a 66.6mm hub bore combined with the 5x112mm bolt PCD. Older BMWs generally use a 72.6mm hub bore with the old 5x120mm PCD.

Sorry I should have clarified that the wheels will go on a M240i G42. So brake clearance is the main concern

Shouldn’t be any issue on an M240i which has the same brakes as an M340. Apex make 18’s for the platform, check their fitment guide
