2025 vs 2024 M2 Interior Dimensions

Does anyone know whether the interior dimensions of the two model years are EXACTLY the same? I can't find a definitive answer to this question anywhere.

I'm trying to ascertain whether the WeatherTech floor liners for the 2024 model will fit the 2025 model. The sales representative said they won't. Can this really be true or is the person didn't know what she was talking about?

I can't see why they wouldn't fit. The MY25 is pretty much the same exact car inside and out. Maybe they don't want to guarantee fitment yet which is understandable but I bet they're a perfect match.

Maybe they brought back that storage cubby they mentioned in the owners manual that doesn’t exist so far in our G87s? Speaking of manuals I’d be curious if the 2025 can actually do Digital Key with the manual

Yeah, they're not going to redesign something that will cause major retooling of the production line just to slightly change the dimensions of the interior. Especially not for a third model year that doesn't have any major recalls or warranty issues that are costing BMW more than it would to make those updates.

To be fair they did add that flat bottom steering wheel I’m sort of jealous of. But they probably are swapping to that style wheel across M cars I’d imagine

And all the M-lite cars (see 2025 X3 M50).

But also changing a steering wheel feels like marketing’s way to get something sexy and new without engineering and ops having to do much work.

Call Weathertech and ask them if you can return them if they don't fit. I bet they'd be ok with that. They'd probably appreciate the feedback so they can update their database.
