Few threads on the subject already. Biggest complaint I hear is that they're a bit annoying getting in and out of. I ordered them though purely for aesthetics. Small sacrifice imo.
Do any of you actually daily carbon buckets?

I did not get the buckets on my 2023.
I ordered them on my 2025. The sport seats are great. They're supportive and I've driven in them for 10+ hours straight with no issues at all. I had never sat in either seat before taking delivery of my 2023 and I felt, like many, the buckets would be too aggressive for daily use. I've since sat in the buckets and have no issue. They're actually quite comfortable which was surprising. I didn't expect as much adjustability at all. My car was/will be auto, so no issues with the clutch. I can buy sport seats for $3k on eBay if I ever want them again. Carbon buckets are incredibly expensive and difficult to obtain. I'd rather be selling them than trying to buy them if it ever got to that point. |

Probably best to hear from folk that actually have them. That would be me. They are the best seats I have had in any car I have owned. I use the car every day and for the 3 secs of getting in and out it's worth it. The heated seats are amazingly. My daughter framed it for me the other day when she said. I don't want to get out of the car. I love the these seats, so comfy. One thing to do if you are getting a MY25 is go for the flat bottom steering wheel. That will help with getting in and out.

I ordered the buckets without trying them first and absolutely love them. I daily drive mine and while it’s a slight pain in the butt to get in and out of sometimes, it is definitely worth it for the look. They are pretty comfortable and I really like how the inflatable sides “hug” you.

I’ve test driven a few M3s with the carbon buckets and I love the aesthetics but went with regular seats. It’s not so much the bolsters or sides on the carbon buckets that made me go with regular seats. It’s the nut cracking hump between your legs. Even at 6ft 250+ with a wide back, I could deal with the narrow seats but that bump is annoying especially with the manual.

Not a fan of either OE option. Recaro or Bride, and Podiums would be my top pick.

Just bought a new 2024 with the carbon package. If nothing else, they will hold value better than the comfort seat cars. I bought it mostly because I love the way they look, and they’re more comfortable than you’d think. Should also mention it will not be my daily driver so the practicality aspect was a non issue. I say get the buckets!

I'm ordered.my.car with them.
I've sat in them and feel they are fine. This car isn't a daily driver. If I want a comfortable sport seat I can drive my i4. I have 1st world problems.

I keep hearing the buckets are not doable with the manual for obvious reasons... Is it as uncomfortable as it looks for clutching?

My legs don't move towards the direction of the hump while shifting in my current car so not sure how it would here. Legs are straight or move away from the center. |

I went with the sofa. Carbon buckets look amazing and have nothing but good reviews, but I don't absolutely need them and I'd rather put the money towards a few other updates, including the HAS and some aero bits I want to install prior to getting PPF and ceramic done.

sofa - I do heavy lat pulldowns and carbon buckets simply don't fit my back, they look great though
if this car weighed 3200# or something I might do it anyway for the weight savings, at 3800 lbs it simply doesn't matter (I'm getting a carbon roof, more for aesthetics) |

I test drove a manual M3 with carbon buckets and didn't have any problem with the carbon hump in the middle. I'm not a smaller guy either.
