Ugh, storms, storms and more storms. I think it's worse because you have this two hour sunny window in between when you think it's going to be OK, then clouds zoom in and it starts pouring agian. I took the 1er out for a brief spell yesterday (couldn't resist) and got dumped on. Got back to the garage and quick-detailed the thing so that it's shiny again, but I'm not sure when it's coming out again.

the 1er drives really well in the rain i think...but i got stuck in a bad storm and the wiper sensor did something really funny...they increased in speed and were wiping as fast as they could then even with the wipers on high i couldnt see anything and they for some odd reason just slowed down to normal constant wipes so i had to turn it off and set the wiper speed myself

We were at a bbq in the southwest suburbs Saturday not too far away from the tornado touchdowns. The park ranger came by a few times alerting us to the tornado wanrings in the area. The beer was flowing too good to leave the spot.

Old thread but figured i would make a comment on it.

I had to fly up to Chicago for business, just one day. drove from Midway Airport to O'Hare.

I would never own a nice car in a city like that. I only was on a few roads but it was hell!

I was so happy to fly back in this morning, get in my 128i and drive home knowing Tampa really isnt bad at all.

The roads in the Chicago burbs are 100x better than the city. Plus we had one of the worst pothole winters I can remember.
