Non HUD dash
Hi everyone, have a new order that is about to be locked in and have been searching for a photo of the non HUD dash and wondering if it still has the cutout with a filler panel or is an entirely different/smooth dash from the HUD cars? I’m one of those that could go either way with the option and truthfully would prefer to not have the dust catcher on the dash if it’s smooth across on cars without it.

If a BMW (any) doesn't have HUD, there is no cutout.

I had the HUD in my last G87, but didn't order it in my new one. In my last car the only way I could make the compass appear was in the HUD in comfort mode after activating it in the settings. What a far cry from the days of having a compass right in the mirror. Relieved to hear it's a smooth dash. Do you have a photo? |

x2 on the photos, I searched pretty deep on google with no real good result, surprised this hasn’t been brought up before. Of course everything on my dealers limited lot has HUD

I don't know where the compass is.
I just know that they don't cut out the dash if HUD is not part of the build. No pictures. I don't have my G87 yet and if I did, it wouldn't give the picture you need because I optioned HUD

There really is no compass. In "route preview" view it'll show you what direction you're heading. Honestly don't see the need for a compass in a car though. You got the sun, or nearly everybody has smart phones with gps. In the US even number highways travel E-W, odd numbers travel N-S.

The windshield needs wiping on the inside too! Just ordered one of these, hoping it can squeeze in there: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
