BMW F1!
Well done to Kubica and Heidfeld for their 1-2 finish at the Canadian GP!
My question is.. who has been supporting the BMW F1 team for a while now and who has recently switched to supporting BMW ever since they purchased a BMW? When I collected my beemer a couple of weeks ago, I jokingly suggested to my wife that I will have to start supporting BMW now, and hold and behold 10 days later they won the GP! I must be their lucky charm BMW F1 decals should start flying off the shelves if we win the championship |

I've been following F1 for just the past four years. Have always liked Ferrari, but became a BMW F1 fan last year after going to the US Grand Prix (wishing it would come back now). After I ordered my 135 I purchased some F1 gear. Attach is a pic of my 135 in the garage with the 2008 flag I ordered from Germany in April. I dig how it says "All for 1."

BMW terminated their engine agreement with WilliamsF1 in 2005, and bought the Sauber team, renaming it BMW Sauber F1, and turning it into the BMW factory team.
2006 was the first F1 season for BMW Sauber F1. I've been a BMW F1 supporter since they re-entered F1 in 2000. |

I picked up a bunch of BMW Sauber F1 gear at the Welt. I bought my dad one of their hand-painted miniature steering wheels, for Father's day. He absolutely loved it.
I got my mom one of their umbrellas, and a lanyard for myself. Oh yah, and a pair of sunglasses

If BMW remain consistent, Kubica has an outside chance at the driver's title, even if he doesn't win again.
I wish F1 would go back to awarding points to the top 6 finishers only (10, 6, 4, 3, 2, 1), which would award the winner proportionally more points than the current system of top 8 (10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1). |

They're unisex and sold at BMW dealers here in Germany. What metric size do you need? Price is 135 Euros.

That picture is actually from one of the main streets with lots of restaurants and bars, called Crescent Street. The whole city gets really into the race, maybe just because of the tourism dollars it brings in, but also because people from Montreal generally won't turn down a reason to party.
That picture was taken from the rooftop patio of Jacques Villeneuve's restaurant/bar... Where I effing paid $11 for a Budweiser. One of the coolest things though was the open house on Thursday where you could go down to the track and get up close to the paddocks/pit lane/track for free. Thats where the picture of the Ferrari paddock was taken, my girlfriend also got a picture with Sebastian Bourdais there.

cool pics road runner! thanks for posting
I dont really mind the current points system.. makes things more interesting.. else the championship would be over by mid-season in some instances. what i do miss though is the old qualifying format.. 4 runs in an hour.. the first 45 mins were boring but murray walker always made it interesting..

I actually like Knock-out qualifying. I didn't think I would when I first read the convoluted rules, but it manages to maintain excitement for the whole qualifying session. Unlike the old system where it was 45 minutes of Minardi followed by a free-for-all. And way better than Single-lap qualifying they tried for a couple of years.
