It Begins! Can someone explain the different statuses??
Hey Everyone!!
I got some awesome news today from my sales associate. He said that he has a production slot slated for the 2nd week of January production that a client backed out of, and is now mine if I want it. I obviously said yes . He said it is in "112 status" (I do not know what that means) and that he will move quickly to get my individual order in (getting Twilight Purple). He also said there is a chance that it can go into production in December instead of January. Lastly, he informed me the last 2 M2s that he has done had about a 3 month turn around time order placed to delivery. I am not sure if the special colors will fit into that time line so we will see. I am really excited but have some questions for you wisemen. What does 112 Status mean? What are the other statuses the car needs to go through? And when will I see it on the app? Thanks!! I am going to be part of the crew...FINALLY!! |

There are multiple threads for order tracking and status updates.
Might want to start there. All your questions will be answered. https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1917522 |

Question for you guys.
I noticed on the VIR it does not show Red Brake Calipers which is an option I wanted. I emailed my sales rep to bring that to his attention. Is that an option that is normally missing and will be added on later? In the “track my bmw” section of the website it shows blue calipers but I know people have brought this up in the past and it eventually changes to red. Wasn’t sure if these two things are related? Lastly, the total price was not listed on the VIR, the net and total said “blocked”. Is this normal? |

Yeah, I just googled it. My sales person said the status went to 102 but in a few weeks (2 to 4) it will go to 111 or 112.

See what the website says when you put your production number in, I think that list of options is accurate but don't expect the render ever to be right. It will never show the correct color and the calipers might be the wrong color in the pic too.

Yeah the pic for mine is frozen silver w blue calipers but the list shows special color and red. It think your VIR should be exactly right though
And yes it will say blocked for the price, I'm assuming that's what the dealer would pay |

Congrats!! It was this exact week last year when I got an allocation for my M2 for a January 2024 production car. 2 days later and for some reason BMW pushed mine a month earlier into December 2023 production. From getting my allocation to delivery was 54 days- 11/29 to 1/22.
Hoping your process goes smooth and efficiently.
