Black Friday dilemma

This is the worst 1st World, problem ever. Black Friday deals are upon us and i'm thinking I'd like to finish off one of two things.
1. Carbon up the engine bay.
2. Finish the body kit with side skirts and diffuser.

Right now, I have a carbon engine shroud and figured the next step would be carbon intakes, carbon strut brace, and carbon engine cover.
Here's the kicker, for the same price, I can finish off the exterior with carbon diffuser and carbon side skirts. I already have a carbon lip.

I'm leaning towards the engine because I get the benefit of the intake sound and every time I open the hood, it will look pretty damn good. But having a full carbon kit on the outside is a nice touch too.

Decisions decisions. Anyway, if it were up to you, what would you choose?

I’d like to do both much further down the road as well. If I were to pick one to do first it would be side skirts and diffuser… Man it’s hard fuck I don’t know what would you do?

carbon inlets, carbon bumper center trim, carbon diffuser, carbon mirror covers. 100x more visibility than the engine dress up

I felt the same way initially , but the increase in noise from the intakes maybe more noticeable than the exterior changes you don’t really see while driving?

Already have the front part of the car done in carbon, see: https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2106014
But I feel like the engine bay would really look sweet with all of the carbon goodies. Plus the sound is going to pair well with my mid-pipe and J pipe.

If only one, I would select the surfaces most people see.

YMMV

IMO, an all cf engine bay does not look good. It's too much. Would look better with a custom painted cover and cf strut brace. Adding the cf intake (I have the Eventuri) and leaving it at that would look best. Again, just my 2 pennies...

Outside first.
Then do engine bay.
You’ll get to see your mods everyday.
Agree with MPower Rob. The whole carbon fiber engine bay is too much. Get yourself a MAD or MST or Buger intake if you’re just looking for the woosh - or cheaper yet, take out the carbon air filter.

I’ll add, the MAD intake (or any intake) on the S58 is one of my favorite mods on any car. Changes the engagement with the car on every single drive.

If it's not too much of a stretch to mix the combination at this time, why not do carbon intakes and the body kit? Forego the other engine bay carbon items since those aren't going to be visible anyway.

Congrats!

I considered getting the carbon finish but went with the matching paint option. it pairs better with my carbon intake in my opinion vs having both of them carbon

...my dumbass got everything on my list. The carbon intake, strut bar, engine cover, side skirts, diffuser, and probably a few nights in the doghouse when the boxes of goodies come.
