Buying a 230i in southern Florida: questions

I am thinking of buying a 230i RWD and looked at the inventory of the local dealers in Palm Beach Gardens. Lots of cars but none with the rear differential or adaptive cruise or lumbar. Also very few with summer tires.

I was told by Braman that they could order a car and that they don't stock fully-equipped 230i coupes. I guess people then buy the 240i. What sort of pricing should I expect for an MSRP of 51300? I don't need the bigger engine and the weight. I would prefer a manual but the ZF is fine.

I owned a new 2022 M440i convertible briefly (<6 months) and I ended up trading it in for a 2022 manual Boxster 25 with the 4 liter. Not a fan of heavy cars.

I would appreciate any input. Thanks. BTW, I split my time between NH and FL so the 230i will be for use in Florida. Don't need X drive either.

I have a 2022 230i RWD and would highly recommend it. Just had my car in for service and they gave me a 840ix gran coupe as a loaner that they claimed was over 100k MSRP, and honestly my 230 felt better.

The 840 weighs over 4200 while the 230 is 3500 and change but my B48 feels more lively than the B58 of the 840, especially in sport plus. Sure the interior and suspension of the 840 was nicer but no way would I spend an additional 50k for a lesser driving experience IMO. The B58 felt pretty weak in the 840.

I have a RWD 230i with the rear m differential and all the other m sport bits that I bought lightly used. If you’re not doing a factory order it’s gonna be hard to find one with the diff (as well as the lumbar and adaptive cruise), when I was in the market I searched new and used in a few hundred mile radius of my highly populated metro area and my car was the only one with the diff I found in a few months of looking.

Looks like I will have to do a factory order. For the 2024 MY, Edmunds suggests a price about 3k below MSRP which is about a 6% discount. I guess I have to ask if the same applies to MY 25.

Very weird that performance and luxury bits are not ordered by dealers for the smaller engine.
