Hello to you all.
I collected my June 2023 M2 a few weeks ago, traded in my 2022 G22 M440i and upgraded to the proper "M' car.
A brief history:
I've had a number of BMWs over the years:
- 2008 E92 325i
- 2013 F30 320i
- 2012 F92 320d MSport Edition
- 2017 F32 440i
- 2022 G22 M440i
The B58 engined cars were, and remain, brilliant all-round performers, excellent economy and power. However, the last car was possibly too good all round, it was an excellent compromise, but wasn't engaging enough for me, hence the move to the M2.
Absolutely love the new car! It is everything I was hoping for, it gives me the "tingle" that I was looking for, even when chilling and driving sedately.
Spec includes:
- Brooklyn grey
- Comfort pack
- Bi-colour 20/19" alloys (Michelin PS4s)
- Driver assist
- ACC radar
- Blue calipers
- Drivers pack
I ended up buying an ex BMW press car, didn't know that at the time, but the dealer and I have come to an agreement following this finding. The positives of this are that I have an excellently specced car that has been serviced well, and there are some epic photos on the BMW press site!
Hoping to engage with the forum, find out some useful info and maybe also share some.

A few minor mods so far:
- floating centre caps
- speed camera updates (probably needed...!)
- maps updated to latest version
- added a Zunsport front grill rock/stone guard, a must given how open the rads are.

Congratulations!!! Excellent car. I would look into the oil cooler skid plate if you haven’t already.

Originally I was set on a Toronto red car, I went to see one with a tan interior, but the red is an odd tone, looked more orange in certain lights.

My G22 was Brooklyn Grey as well, so a colour that was tried and tested for me.
