TR87 Grill Install

Has anyone installed this grill on their own yet?

I received mine a couple of days ago and am looking for any tips/tricks before installation since it doesn't come with the same framed clips as other grills.

i like that grille, just dont like how it installs from the front of the bumper and secured only by tape.

have you tried looking up the ADRO Grille install? could be helpful since it also installs from the front.

Too funny, I asked AutoID directly how it installs and was told it installs from the rear. I received the grill with no tape attached to it as well.

Jack@AUTOID Any insight here?

No instructions and the support email I received said it installed from the back.

Makes sense though that it installs from the front. Guess I need to get some zip ties. 😉

No way they meant you to use zip ties for the finished product, mate! Maybe Joe AUTOID can help

Can you post a pic of the grille's back side (that faces the car) showing the tabs?

You'll have to remove the front fascia. I have a post with pics & steps on here somewhere. It's pretty easy. Getting the stock grille out is a little bit of a pain, but still not too difficult.

At this point I’m certain it installs from the front.

Somewhat frustrating that it didn’t come pre-installed with tape. Anyone have recommendations on what dimension VHB tape to buy?

Here's what the grille looks like I installed plus what the inside of the front fascia looks like. The front fascia has tabs that go into the stock and my aftermarket grille, while yours has tabs on it - odd.

if you look at how the grill outer ring looks, for sure it installs from the front. frustrating that it doesnt come better prepared, but it does look good!

go to the 1m46 mark for the PSI ADRO grill install. could be useful.
