Maxton rear diffuser install?

looking for some assistance for those that have installed the rear diffuser. everything is pretty self explanatory but have some questions about those two bolts on the maxton diffuser. they give you nuts and it appears they need to be drilled in somewhere to keep the diffuser from flying off

anybody have any tips?

If you're talking about those two bolts that are molded into the diffuser in the middle - I don't recall having to drill anything, As I recall there are 2 holes that they will line up with in the body behind the bumper.

You do need to use those bolts to mount it because I imagine air catching in the bumper and then that thing making all kinds of noise as it's buffeted while you're being a hooligan. heh heh Once it's all tightened down, install is super tight & solid.

I do not remember how exactly the install went because Maxton doesn't provide instructions & I installed mine a while ago.

Getting the nuts onto the bolts was a royal PIA! Space is TIGHT and you'll be wishing the muffler wasn't in the way. I just remember getting my hand up between the muffler & I think a heat shield - watch that because it CAN & WILL cut/scrape you. Got the nut onto both bolts & hand tighten them. I forget what tool I used to fully tighten the bolts but a I recall a socket wrench didn't fit. Probably used one of my longer skinny ratcheting wrenches.

All I can say is, when I was done I was happy I'll never have to do it again.

Good luck!! Take pics when you're done!
