Rattling from passengers area
hey,
I have a very strange noise coming from the area of the passenger seat / B-pillar, which unfortunately only occurs sporadically and is very difficult to reproduce and find. It occurs very irregularly and is probably very temperature-dependent. More frequent now in the cold season. It seems to occur more frequently after a long period of inactivity. It feels like it's coming from the passenger side, but sometimes I also get the impression that it's coming from the rear. I've been to the dealer with it three times over a period of almost a year. It is never reproducible there during the test drive. Based on my cell phone video, the seat has already been removed, the sunroof dismantled (a loose rail was suspected there) and the underbody was also examined. On the underbody, they found out that the heat protection plate (see photo) was apparently vibrating right at the transition to the plastic trim - was immobilized with plasticine and was the great hope. Unfortunately also unsuccessful. I am in despair. The noise occurs sporadically and is probably also temperature-dependent. Mostly on uneven road surfaces such as cobblestones, asphalt crossings, etc. Any idea what part of the car could cause this weird noise ? Has anyone had the same problem and been able to find it? I am grateful for any help. Please find attached the youtube link with the video of the noise. Thanks, Mike https://youtube.com/shorts/N_8OCcNPX...KS3ZGI-C1b7TAu |
