2024 G87 M2 Discounts

Any other new M2 buyers out there? What are you seeing for discounts from MSRP on the remaining 2024 cars? I'm in CA.

Im not showing to much inventory left for 2024. On cars.com they are only showing 14 2024 models left nationwide.

You would be hard pressed to find a 2024 still on the lot. 2025 are going for MSRP currently. I was not able to get a discount in December.

In December in northern Illinois, there were a couple ‘24s but nothing more than $1K-$2K off sticker. I did negotiate a ‘25 down to 10% off MSRP. That made me buy it.

How are the 24s only $1k-2k off but can negotiate a 25 for $6k-$7k off? That’s and insanely good deal. You should be a broker

Didn’t make any sense to me, either. But I didn’t push hard on the ‘24s because I was really focused on a ‘25. Had I tried harder I might have been able to do better than I did on the ‘25. Or not. We’ll never know.

I was just being opportunistic with a motivated dealer. It was end of month/quarter/year and I’ve come to believe that matters. (I’d be interested to hear from those who sell cars for a living if I’m right, but I’ve always done well with that approach in mind.)

My final pitch was that if we could get to an even 10% off it would help my wife feel good about an otherwise unnecessary purchase, and thus make life better at home.

If you pull out the calculator, my deal is actually 9.999% off, so keep that to yourselves.

What did you like about the 25 over the 24 - 20 extra HP, I know, but anything else I'm missing?

Not that these were deciding factors for me since I had to order mine to spec anyway, but here is what I found to be the changes in the '25:
  • Power bump to 473hp
  • New flat-bottom steering wheel
  • New center vent stack styling with ambient lighting "waterfall" effect
  • Restyled ambient lighting that does not extend the length of the entire dash (a downgrade IMHO)
  • ID 8.5
  • Black M2 logo with white trim

Primarily the extra HP, followed by not wanting to be a year “behind” as soon as I signed the papers; that’s the way I’m wired generally but I was also thinking about resale value with a “new” ‘24 vs an new ‘25.

I also wanted to be sure I was on the latest iDrive software. Flat bottom wheel was attractive but not essential.

All of that said, I’d have been plenty happy in a ‘24 for the right price.

I have yet to see any discounts in California or the brokers that I have talked with.

I'm at MSRP.

I went the other way today and traded my 2023 G87 on a 2024 built G80 M3. New car arrives in 3 weeks, the discount on the M3 was quite breathtaking resulting in the purchase.

For the record, I have been very impressed with the M2 and highly recommend the car, quite frankly I would have been crazy not to take the deal offered on the M3.

Historically, January is a great month for purchasers.

Good luck to anyone looking for a relative bargain (they are out there).

At this point, I am not.
I have an allocation, VIR and a projected build date for my TP car.

I picked up an allocation from a broker after waiting 5 months for my dealer to get a second allocation. Broker said I would have a standard color car by March. I got individual so add 8 weeks and I'm first week of May.

I'm not sure how "aged" the allocation was, but it doesn't really matter for individual cars. The build on individual colors is determined by the number of individual cars in the queue and when they hit the threahold.

I was able to get a 2024 at a 0.24% lease rate (1.24% -1% loyalty) at the beginning of December; a 2025 lease would have been in the ~5% range. Located in Canada.

Fair question, I purchased the G80 M3 (2024 build plate) for $AUD45,000 changeover trading in my car. The G80 M3 retails for $AUD180,000 ($US111,500), with a new G87 M2 at $AUD137,000 (around $US85,000) here in Australia, so quite the discount was achieved considering my G87 has 12,000kms (7,000 miles) and is a 2023 built car.

The new G83 specs:

* Brooklyn Grey
* Black Gloss Wheels
* Black leather interior
* carbon fibre roof and interior (standard in Australia)
* 5 year service plan (included in sale)

My new car is coming from interstate and hope to take delivery by months end.

For the record I have enjoyed my G87 M2 and would recommend the car to anybody...a lot of style and performance at a reasonable price.

So far I cannot find any dealers with discounts. I don't care where in the country as I'll just have it delivered to the performance center which is like 30 minutes from me. Anyone have any dealers looking to deal? Maybe Scrutineer

Using a broker is probably a good suggestion - I’ve never worked with one but there are plenty of success stories here from others who have.

I think my discount was all about timing, but my CA’s name is Matt Pudlo at Knauz BMW in Lake Bluff, Illinois. Price aside he was easily the best I’ve worked with and earned my business on the next one. Give him a look, but right now they don’t seem to have any on the lot. There is a Vegas Red 6MT inbound which I bet will be fantastic.
