Hey can anyone help shed some insight on how iDrive works for me? Forgive me if these seem silly, still learning the platform here and this is my first BMW. My questions are really just around the following:

My Car: 2022 BMW M850i GC
-ZDA - Driving Assistance Package
-ZDY - Driving Assistance Pro Pkg
-ZSB - Comfort Seating Package

1. How do I know/verify which version of iDrive I have in my car?

2. Is there a limitation of how high it will upgrade? Will I ever see iDrive 9 or is this a limitation of hardware, meaning is iDrive 9 physical hardware and only in newer gen cars?

3. Really like the "Record New Path" parking, is that something I'll never see with my car? Seems to only be in new gen stuff since the GUI looks a little different.

4. Is there a way to install more BMW Apps (like an BMW app store or something) or do they just install automatically? I don't see a way to view any additional apps, outside of those already installed, in the car or on the BMW mobile app.

You have idrive 7.0 and it is not upgradable.

You can’t add anything to your car — no OS upgrades, no new apps.
